Exactly, computer may malfunction, data service may break down and cloud support do go down as well, does it then means THE ELECTION HAS TO BE POSTPONED OR CANCELLED,AS A RESULT? Absolutely not

Why will computer malfunction, data service break down and cloud support go down on the day of election or at most a couple of days during a election? JAMB conducts exams in a single day using computer, data service and cloud support. Elections in other countries are carried out using computer, data service and cloud support, so why can Nigeria, the so called giant of African employ IT in its elections? Even other African countries have gone digital in their elections, but Nigeria wants to continue to conduct elections the same way it conducted it in the 60s.

Remember it was the maiden session and stuff like that was still in its TRIAL phase would always come with their challenges. IT would be wrong if having detected glitches, they still go ahead to use it.
Infact, in the almighty USA the complaints THRUMP took to court had to do with the ONLINE voting malpractises (eventhough the court later detected nothing of such happened)which resulted n a riot that horribly affected the CAPITOL and this is a system that many considered top notch
What do you think will happen to us if such was permitted for use despite: RERUN, and with our financial status, we can't afford that for now. I trust you will be part of the complainants too if such happen.

TRIAL phase in 2023? that's a huge disgrace to the so called most populous black nation. When others developing nations are sending vehicles to the moon and Mars, we cannot use computer to conduct elections. We have been talking about electronic voting since 2011 and up till now we are still in trial phase.

In the mighty USA election results are transmitted in real time. Its only when there are complaints or the election is very close that manual recounts are employed. Paper records are kept as backups in case of any issues and not relied on as the main method of transmission of results.

In Nigeria we deliberately sabotage everything in order to cheat.

TRIAL phase of anything can happen anytime. What's in maiden stage can't be trusted to be free of error until multiple uses make the correction of noted faults happen overtime. USA had been using theirs for a couple of decades at least, yet TRUMP took the system to court over what he termed manipulation of online votes especially in areas he thought he would've easily won but which he lost. HIS allegation ended up inciting protest that degenerated to the infamous violence on the CAPITOL. THE court arrested and tried him for it.
IF A USA CANDIDATE COULD NOT TRUST THEIR E-VOTING SYSTEM ENOUGH AND THUS INCITED VIOLENCE, WHAT,DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN IN NIGERIA (especially with a maiden IREV system) PARTICULARLY WITH THESE TWO OPPOSITION CANDIDATES WHOM STIR RUMOUR OF WINNING WITHOUT EVIDENCE? THEY WILL ALSO CALL THE SYSTEM RUSE. THEY WILL ANNOUNCED THE SYSTEM WAS MANIPULATED AT A TIME.

AFTERALL, WHAT THEY DISBELIEVE WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN WHAT WOULD BE UPLOADED TO THE PORTAL BY THE ELECTORAL BODY.

AS PER USA, people voted at polling unit the same time they're voting online but the online votes took around a week to conclude and I know NIGERIANS, they will still fault the system,if it doesn't favour their candidate. THERE'S no perfect system anywhere!

Bro, it's sad men.

The guy said trial phase in 2023, but Elon Musk them are already thinking Mars

Some Nigerians are so demonic in their hate for progress of the nation, while tagging those that actually want progress as enemies.

Ordinary data sending we have been doing since nokia 3310 days, and now in 2023 with foldable phones and such, no one even thinks of data sending at all as we all use i-message, whatsapp, twitter, email, instagram...

But that wicked cave man Nigerian says we are doing trial for sending ordinary image data and yet it still failed.

OMO, these people are satanic, I cannot see any other reason for such hate for progress

what purpose does it serve

Most of the time what INEC announces at the collation center is different from what is uploaded

It's better INEC pulls down the site and channel the funds to somewhere else

My brother it is more than sad. It is humiliating. Abeg tell me what's difficult in collating, processing and transmitting data in real-time, in 2023? A country of over 200 million cannot achieve this simple (I will say mundane) task? No wonder we cannot generate and transmit more than 5000Mw of electricity, we cannot build an maintain a petroleum refinery, we cannot build ships and aircrafts. Meanwhile, UAE of less than 10 million has sent a space vehicle to explore Mars.

We are lucky the world has left behind inter racial wars. If a war should break out among the races, we blacks will be wiped out within weeks. We are both helpless and hopeless. We depend on others for our survival.

Just one day bruv, we would be wiped out.

You think it's Nigerian army that tells civilians to kneel down that will stop Nuclear warheads?

IREV Portal Is not a tool for collation- Supreme court

If INEC portal stops, it does not stop the collation

The non-function of IREV might reduce voter confidence

Justice Okoro Also said INEC has the right to choose the form in which they want to transmit results
why are we wasting time in voting? This is practically no law governing INEC.

if you see it online of what purpose will it serve. if the online results says Mr A won and INEC say Mr B is the winner. which is more authentic
the way guys reason I am surprised. They say INEC can decide on anything the want. Practically it means there is no law guiding election in Nigeria, INEC is the law.
Is this what you called democracy?
Don't forget that this same thing will happen to you one day.

It's seems we are mixing things up here

According to Supreme Court IREV portal is not for collation.

We are now asking what is the purpose of the IREV portal if it's not meant to checkmate collation

INEC should tell Nigerians what is the real reason the IREV portal was set up to achieve because we all know that billions of naira of tax payers money was committed to setting up the portal

Nigeria judicial system is the worst in the world. They twist the law to benefit their corrupt pay masters.
Almost 350 billions was given to INEC for that technology but I am surprised that a judge will open his mouth to say that IREV is useless.
Practically, they are telling us that there is no law guiding our election. That means INEC can decide whoever they want to win election.
