Like I stated previously, Biafra gave a good fight but Gowon didn't completely tighten the noose (for reasons mentioned earlier) and that's why Biafra held on. If he shot down every non-Nigerian plane, no military equipment would have reached Biafra, and consequently, Biafra wouldn't have had the resources to hold out.
