Pet. Engrg (Masters) in Curtin, Perth. Goin with my partner as dependant.
Just wanna know how mch i can show in the statement
after paying my part tuition and fulfilling my Overseas Student Health Cover.

If you are self sponsored it is very good that you show at least first 12 months but if not it may not be necessary since SVP does not include financial requirement as part of visa application requirement

I spoke to an immigration agent to confirm what I thought. They said if the school is willing to accept you then they(immigration) should have no problems however your case officer will be the one to determine if you are a GTE or not. But he advised that you state you are only coming in for studies no matter what your plans might be.

That was why I asked you what your school requirements are in my first post though I was misunderstood. I asked cos if the school have no issues, the immigration can work with that. If a school accepts you for studies, it means you met their requirements and the immigration although have their own rules, also put that into consideration.

So many Zimbabwean women in their 40s are studying nursing here. It's no rocket science

Thank you so so much. I will go ahead now. I will make sure my SoP reads about studies alone. And think about studies alone. Thanks again. I owe u one. Just one o. Hahahahahahaha. I'm happy#hugs#

Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by Americanvisa: 8:56pm On Oct 28, 2013
Kmotee, the official price of the visa which you need to state in the application form is 535AUD but vfs illegally collecting 585USD as the visa fee excluding 39k as their service charge, goodluck,

Please people, if you are planning on just studying here and going back home, choose whatever course you like BUT if you are looking at getting your PR, you need to choose a good course. The fact that a profession is on the skilled list does not mean it is in serious demand. If you are coming in as a PR fine but as a student, look for the hottest amongst them. Also, I understand the city is beautiful, Melbourne is beautiful, so is sydney and Perth...but please look at country towns. It might be boring alright but living in a country town gives you good extra points and a better chance at PR. For example those going in for 18 months course and expecting sponsorship in the city nurses are in abundance there and your chances are slim, the same cannot be said of a country town. They need nurses, one nurse recently got free accomodation to work in a country town and got her PR. All she has to do is endure for 2 years, save heaps of money as she is not paying for accomodation or bills and move to Perth after 2 years. She visits Perth alot anyways on her days off. That's just nursing, same goes for hot professions as well.

'If you are coming in for 18months diploma course, please make sure you do your bachelor's. Enrolled nurses are not as hot as resgitered nurses. Infact, to study EN as a PR or citizen you had to pay 1,200 dollars but now PR's and cititzens will be paying 4k per semester from next year. Thats what they are doing to reduce the number of EN's. EN's are being sponsored though, don't get me wrong, just saying you should go further. Now if you go for RN please please please, specialize in something like ICU, Theatre, Emergency,Surgical, etc. Those specialist nurses are in demand here.

CORRECT!!! I AM BACK!!!
@ All... I am so sorry for abandoning this thread for a while.. I did just to cool off and do some more research... Be sure that I have enough info to share here.

@ Jenny... Hope I have been forgiven? I am back for good and I hope we can be friends again cos I still need your advice again.

Please house, beware that I can only answer questions directed to me, not that I know so much but this is just to avoid fight. Thanks all.
GOOD LUCK TO FUTURE APPLICANTS!!!
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by lawland: 6:56am On Oct 29, 2013
@kmontee
I wish you see this before you lodge your application today. I want to inform you that VFS do not give change to applicants, I have written this here before, they accept dollars from 2006 upwards and don't accept $1. If you give them that $600, you are surely dashing them $15. As for the checklist, they have one readily available for you to photocopy but if you want to download it, go to their website.. @ www.vfsglobal.com/australia/nigeria and download it from the student section.

I seriously expect news from you now, did you get reply from ASH? Your visa is overdue..
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by Nobody: 7:55am On Oct 29, 2013
Americanvisa: @jenny,not at all,I said that I will apply soon, is that one not good

Na, not good enough. Don't get me wrong though, I am happy for you but for someone who has asked people lots of questions about when they applied, how long their application was in for, what was requested from them by the immigration, how long the whole process took and so on...one would think you will keep everyone abreast with your situation. Visa granted two weeks ago and you are just sharing it with us? WOW. If everyone was that secretive here, I don't think you would have been exposed to so much information. You don't bless yourself with so much information from others but then keep yours locked in. That's selfishness you know.

Just my two cents and once again, congrats
