Did your visa come today or yesterday?

I didn't say it was granted 2wks ago, I said it stays 2 wks to be granted,even though am at work presently I still stand to give out what information any one might need though my application was just in line with the checklist only

thanks, I was contacted last week Tuesday, but I haven't heard anything from them since though it would be a month on the 30th that I submitted . They received my application on the 2nd. Do you think I should contact my CO or just wait to be contacted. Also note I haven't done my medicals, so maybe its also a reason why the process is slow

Ok.. I was contacted after 4 weeks for account verification so expect to be contacted for account verification and medicals at same time.. Wait to be contacted...

You don't get it...my point is, you applied and never said a word about it...it's your right but to say a word BTW no one should force you to but on this thread people have been quite open to a very large extent. Ferdimako has been very open about his English exam and when he will apply and so on. Even @redreact and I jokingly talked about you and ferdi applying not too long ago and not once did you say ..."hey I have applied or hey I will be lodging so so and so day".....you were very secretive about it and it's sad cos you have always tried to know about other people's application and that's why I was shocked. If certain people had done it I wouldn't be shocked but you?? I don't understand the logic behind the secrecy.

And yea,I am busy at the moment.

jennykadry: Please people, if you are planning on just studying here and going back home, choose whatever course you like BUT if you are looking at getting your PR, you need to choose a good course. The fact that a profession is on the skilled list does not mean it is in serious demand. If you are coming in as a PR fine but as a student, look for the hottest amongst them. Also, I understand the city is beautiful, Melbourne is beautiful, so is sydney and Perth...but please look at country towns. It might be boring alright but living in a country town gives you good extra points and a better chance at PR. For example those going in for 18 months course and expecting sponsorship in the city nurses are in abundance there and your chances are slim, the same cannot be said of a country town. They need nurses, one nurse recently got free accomodation to work in a country town and got her PR. All she has to do is endure for 2 years, save heaps of money as she is not paying for accomodation or bills and move to Perth after 2 years. She visits Perth alot anyways on her days off. That's just nursing, same goes for hot professions as well.

'If you are coming in for 18months diploma course, please make sure you do your bachelor's. Enrolled nurses are not as hot as resgitered nurses. Infact, to study EN as a PR or citizen you had to pay 1,200 dollars but now PR's and cititzens will be paying 4k per semester from next year. Thats what they are doing to reduce the number of EN's. EN's are being sponsored though, don't get me wrong, just saying you should go further.Now if you go for RN please please please, specialize in something like ICU, Theatre, Emergency,Surgical, etc. Those specialist nurses are in demand here.

My application was officially lodged on 11th oct at the embassy in pretoria, submitted uni statement of result,transcript,birth cert,statement of account, sponsorship letter,coe,offer letter,visa application form,checklist,intl pass copy colored,SVP application
