naija and our jungle justice, the only wrong this man did was deceiving his customers that he was selling chicken and not vultures. i dont think vultures are endangered species in nigeria or heard of any law protecting them. the man should be tried for the offence he has commited which to me is not enough for unclading him and all this public show. if i may add, this man's customers have been eating this vultures without knowing the difference between it and chicken or maybe it tastes better than chicken so for those who are worried about the price of garri here is a good cheap source of protein for you.

That's besides the point. He was caught because he lied about what he was selling, making people think it was cow meat (suya). If he had openly said he was roasting vulture, then he shouldn't have been caught, cos it'll have been left for people to choose whether or not they wanted to eat vulture meat.

according to my people in Ondo state, if u eat vulture without brocasting/advertising it ,it can"t harm u/have effect in u but when u announce it dat is when the trouble begins.so personally i don"t see any thing too bad . some people eat snake except u prove to me that is dangerous to our health scientifically.

Technically I dont see anything wrong in consuming the carcass of vultures. Because their muscle fibres are just a polymerisation of polypeptides and amino acids which when consumed are brokendown by the human digestive enzymes to single amino acids used as raw material to form body proteins through signal transduction and DNA transcription. (abeg make una no vex) . But there may be a problem in consuming their liver and other digestive organs. Because the liver might not yet have detoxified the poisons from rotten carcass they consume in other digestive organs and traces of these toxins may still be present in the liver. So consumption of the carcass sounds theoritically and hypothetically OK. PS I never chop am before o!!
