Yusmash00: Are you using BB? Is the 250MB enough for a month? I was using Simple Mobile when i first got here but paying $50 for 2G including free international text. I switch to Tmobile when my phone crash and bought another BB from Tmobile. I couldn't get on contract because i don't have any credit yet. So i paid the full payment of the phone.

while staying with a host please avoid:
1)being the first to on the TV i dont even go to the TV untill my host says i can turn it on if i want

2)being the first to wake up and take a bath For this one i wake up early and stay in my room, i try to take my bath early before they wake up since we have only one toilet and bathroom and i also go out with my host in the morn wen he is going out

3)going to the refrigerator to pick up drinks all the time I dont do that i am been given drink by my host or the wife

4)leaving the light on all the time I put it off always there was a time i left it on to take my bath i dont know who put it off for me

5)using the home phone all the time,or giving the number out to your friends
[/i][/b] Dont use it even-though there is a land line in my room,the times i have used the phone it has been on permission but i may use it wen they are nt around or wen they are asleep but nobi all the time o!my host is making arrangement to get me a fone he has bought the sim remaing the fone the China fone i came with from Naija did not work with the sim

6)being the last person to wake up in the morning
[b]I wake up early do small exercise in my room just to keep fit incase i join the military take my bath too early so as to decongest the bathroom

7)cooking while they are at work I go out with my host and return with him in the evening by then the wife would have returned so i dont cook

being lazy trying my best i was the plates early in the morn wen i wakeup my host wife said i should not bother washing the plates but i told her she should nt worry about dat

9)sending western union to your immediate family Well i no even get money now let alone sending some home

10)putting on the heat or ac without the host approval....i dont do that infact NY wether is around 20 to 25 deg cent its kind of Cold for me even wen the put on the AC i quickly go to my room i prefer hot whether[i]

other thing i do that are
1)Wen i come back make sure u was ur hands and clean with tissue before torching the baby this one is for everybody.
2)I alway thank my Host and the wife after the give me dinner or breakfast
3)always humble and respectful and gist them one or two thing about naija and lagos life

They said i should give them 2weeks so am still waiting

chio: I have on experience i want to share and dont know whether i have experinced it to.
My host doing is PHd in a college here in New york so instead of staying @home we go out together using the train
on getting to the school his signs me in (i show my int.passport and then they give me a pass)to use the School library.
so before i enter the computer Library the receptionist sees my pass which i pasted on my breastpocket and now opens the door for me to enter the library.
This i have done for like 2days.
So on the 3rd day afta getting a pass as i normally do i now went to the receptionist (The receptionist there that day was a black guy) to open the library door for me to enta the library,the guy was looking and my pass and reading everything there he said my pass was reading Physis astronomy that i may have to go dowm and get a pass for the Library.I was supried i told him i have been using the Library for the past 2days and this was the only pass i was using. he refused.
So i had to trace my host Laboratory(i have nt gotten a fone yet) and told him what the guy said.He was suprised and said that we blacks sometimes we overdo things.
so we went back to me him and he told him that he was a staff there there (Showed him his ID) and there was no extra pass needed,for me to use the library.so he let me and my host went back.
so dats what happened whats your say on this

i went out with my host on sat to the Gym wen we finished he said he thot that day was a sunday that we may have been givena ticket (Fine) for
packing there like $70.
We ought to have gone to a machine nearby paid somemoney into it get the receipt which is only for either one hour or 2hours and put on ur
dashboard so dat wen those offciers are passing they wount book u for about $70.And wen ur ticket expires (Mind u the Ticket lasts for either 1hr or 2hr)so wen 1hours expires and u are nt done u get anoda ticket
u wount even pay the fine there u may to go to their office or pay online.
Well we thank God we were nt booked. i saw someone pack went to pay for packing and put the receipt on the dashboard.
just slot ur machine on the machine nd it brings our ur receipt dats all nobody there to sell receipt.

We also went to buy fuel no attendant there just insert ur debit card take the nozzle and fill ur tank ur self.
If u want to pay by cash go in and pay to the attendant den come and fill ur tank.
