Doing it is just for doing sake and not doing it does not necessarily imply that the Artiste is proud. It is a professional thing where everyone does what he or she is expected to do.

Moreover, I have seen Don Jazzy collect the best producer Award several times and he didn't acknowledge any Artiste too while receiving his award. Sentimental debates will do us no good.
