Nollywood Plans To Release An Aluu 4 Movie - Is This Right? by Jfinder: 1:10pm On Nov 30, 2012
Too soon after the horrid episode of dishonest jungle justice meted out to four unfortunate young men, some members of the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood have decided to take advantage of the inauspicious event and make a movie. The movie which would be called ‘ALUU 4 Movie‘ would tell the sordid story of how these four young men were brutally murdered based on a false assumption that they were local thieves.

We all know how Nollywood operates, tasteless plots that are often times mediocre in their message. the messages are often shallow e.g. ‘Fazebook Babes‘, ‘Blackberry Babes‘, movies that capitalize on current trends in the country. However, are Nigerians ready to be reminded of the ugly incident that rocked our belief in each other as human beings?

This is one time that Nollywood producers need to draw the line. These men were real humans, not fictional characters. It is bad enough that their families have to live with the memory of how brutally their children were murdered. To make a movie of it would abuse the memory of these young men. It is distasteful and cruel, to the families of these young men, to the memory of these young men: real people who had dreams and aspirations like each and every one of us.

It is not too much to ask that the memory of these young men be honoured, that they be remembered in light of the lives they led and not the brutal manner in which they exited this world. So to producers out there: let us for once act with dignity and respect the sanctity of the deceased.
