There's really no formula to these things. In any case, you can only succeed as a so-called "Alpha Male" (in the sense of being a selfish, apathetic jerk)when you have something significant going for you that makes you desirable whether you are nice or not (e.g. wealth, power, stardom, social position, dashing/desirable persona, etc.). If you think any girl would prefer a plain, ill-mannered, cold, unrefined, and broke azz brute like you to a well-to-do "nice guy" - simply because you act like a jerk, then you certainly have your head in the clouds.

People prefer people that are preferable. In other words, being a supposed alpha male (in the sense defined here) is never enough without meaningful reinforcements that make you desirable. D'banj or Paddy Adenuga would always be desired by countless women - regardless of whether they evince the Alpha Male personality or the nice guy personality - simply because they are desirable for their stardom and wealth (and good looks) respectively.
