Interesting. The devil also thought that Jesus was contradicting  His Sonship by not jumping off the roof of the temple. In fact, the devil quoted Psalm 91:11-12 to buttress his point.

----------------
The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down from here. For it is written:
   " 'He will command his angels concerning you
      to guard you carefully;
      they will lift you up in their hands,
      so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
"
-----------------------

@bawomol(o)
You seem to have a lot in common with the devil. You both can discern non-existent contradictions.

Fortunately, littering the thread with biblical quotes does not necessarily make you ( or the devil) correct!!!

Is it OK to marry (or stay married to) unbelievers? Is it OK to touch them or be friends with them?

1 Corinthians 7:12-14
If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

2 Corinthians 6:14-17
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? , Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

Re: The Daily Contradictions Of The Bible Thread. by debosky(m): 12:42am On Mar 04, 2008
you guys are trying to raise a fuss out of nothing - showing your shallow comprehension of the issues being discussed

1. the first reference refers to a marriage relationship in which one of the members becomes a believer, while the other has not become one - and it says the marriage should continue if the unbelieving spouse chooses to remain. This is clearly a case originating as non-believers getting married and one coming to the faith. Remaining married is supported wholly.

2. The second reference refers to a Christian, a believer, and says do not knowingly go into a marriage relationship with an unbeliever, you are simply causing yourself harm by doing that. It does not give any reference to issues involving people ALREADY married before coming to the faith, and is more of a general warning and caution for one to avoid undue relationships with a non-believer to avoid creating further problems.

Being in touch is something unavoidable, as any reasonable human beings will tell you, but even friendships have to be kept at a reasonable distance - the people you can permit to come into your life and contribute to it should be christians first and foremost, others can be friends, but not the ones you depend on in crucial moments, since their advice would likely be out of sync with the Word of God.

Its like knowing your friend is an alcoholic - he is still your friend and you try to help him overcome his addiction, but you do not go drinking with him, or listen to him for advice on how to beat alcoholism when he is still dealing with that same thing. You maintain a safe distance to be able to help, but not too close so as not to be affected. Similar to a nurse-patient relationship.
