Renaissance is a firm run by and for scientists, employing preferably those with non-financial backgrounds for quantitative finance research like mathematicians, statisticians, pure and experimental physicists, astronomers, and computer scientists. Wall Street experience is frowned on and a flair for science is prized.[19] It is a widely held belief within Renaissance that the herdlike mentality among business school graduates is to blame for poor investor returns.[6] Renaissance engages roughly 150 researchers and computer programmers, half of whom have PhDs in scientific disciplines, at its 50-acre East Setauket campus in Long Island, New York, which is near the State University of New York at Stony Brook.[24] Mathematician Isadore Singer referred to Renaissance's East Setauket office as the best physics and mathematics department in the world.

There would likely be an uptrend. I want to believe those that sold on Friday where those that bought Sept last year @17.50, so they might want to book small profit and re-enter.

Even though the result was flat, zenith has been paying the same dividend for the past 3yrs or more and there has always been price uptrend. (dividend hasn't been priced in yet).

There shouldn't be any cause for alarm. It could have been worse if the result was below flat.

Trapped?I still have fcmb bought at 1.80, 6% at the moment .I mistakenly offloaded substantial units of caverton at 10% and the money is waiting to enter another stock for 10%.

We look forward to either crash fbn further or move fbn ministry.Thats where we keep our attention now.

You don't even understand the simple ones people tell you on Nairaland, you want to understand quants. grin grin

Just stick to what works for you.

Always have it in your mind that those machines or algos were written by humans. The only difference between that and human is speed of execution.
