Hi there, The name Onyebuchi(who is God),what is the context behind that?I mean is it looking down on God? Please i'm really very curious, |
Re: Igbo Names & Their Meanings by watchme(f): 12:27pm On Feb 25, 2010 |
Note that u can't translate some Igbo names exactly as it sounds; Onyebuchi means "Who is like God" (This is a question that u will definitely answer "nobody" when someone asks u) and the short form is "Buchi". Am sure u get it now. 1 Like |

I really loe Nigerian names especially igbo ones i've always said if I have children I'll give them African names Nigerian igbos and cameroonian names in particular cause I thinks they are so sweet. We french colonised countries used to give french names to our kids but the new generation is changing the trend! My favourite igbo names Nneka Emeka Chioma Ikenna Ifeoma For Yoruba* Sade Adeola |
