afrobella7: I dunno about 'board' but names are always taken to the national assembly for approval before any APL is issued in an FG parastatal even if ure coming in as level 5.
NIMC please hurrry oooooooooo

I am in the right place or need my head examined? Which kind carry name go for National Assembly be this one na? Na Minister/Ambassador or DG etc I/we applied? I dey confused o!

NIMC should try update their job portal regarding this whole exercise as people are becoming outdated & going gaga. All considered is well sha!

hello ,
I was at the nimc state office in uyo, Akwa Ibom
There main office at the fed Secretariat has shifted their attention to thier enrolment centers.
All there existing staffs no matter your position or rank and all involve in the enrolement of Nigerians .
They have divided themselves into two , some are serving as customer care helping Nigeria to fill form, check thier ID and attend to enquiries
while their IT Staff are involve in the actual enrolment of Nigeria.
There at the state office they have been on with the June since June, 2013
A lot of Nigerians are really coming out for the enrolmment process , knowing the important of it
They are overwhelm with the crowd ,It think from what i saw they still have staff strength of 25-30people.
I believe they head office is aware of the response of Nigerians so far.
He need more hands and believe the head office will act soon for the ongoing recruitment.
Some people said that the rest of the employees may be trained in the State offices and they deploy
I reason that this is very true because the state Office personnels are fully trained and aware of their expectation.
The enrolement process is just filling and providing your deomographic info , then your fingerprint,Id and digital.
signature.
Any IT/Computer conversant enrolement officer will easily know what to do and a few orientation.
I think what may be causing delay could be that they are working on delivery the infrastructure to the state Office in terms of the office equipments, more enrolement Equipment and Centres before they call the new intake for training/work
It is not as tedious as those that went for the training paint it, maybe the exam aspect.
Guys let just have expectations for action soon from the HQ as the project is huge .
i had to get enrol

alfa john: u people should desist from this delusion of grandeur. what concerns the board with employment of officers below the rank of agm or level 15. also u are turning the while thing on its head so the DG will ratify board approval ? who is superior DG or board. u people should cool temper instead of turning logic on its head.

So you do not know that it needs the whole board ratification , are you not aware that the mgt works with a mgt team and a board in place too .
Are you not in Nigeria and a Nigerian

i will not join issues with u. if u have worked or received APL from any govt agency u will have seen the wordings and probably better informed. for a staff recruited below level 15 it reads the mgt has approved ur employment. for a staff on 15 and above it reads the board any if no board the minister has approved ur employment. i know cause i work for one of the agencies. Also for those in a hurry pls do not forget the list still has to be vetted by fed character comm. wish every body best of luck

Patience peeps, I know by the time APL is landed into your hands, hardly would you remember paying tithe.

Those who may quote me should note "unconfirmed" used in describing the info.
Respect,as we continue to leave in darkness.

seriously now,, I don't understand what all these delays may mean? after the online application stage, there was one month of delays b4 we were called for test... After the aptitude test in february, there was another one month delay before interview started.. After the first set of interviews in April, there was another little break... and then, interview kick started again in june.. after a whole month of interviews, training kick started immediately for enrollment officers without any break.. then, we all thought they were really rushing things up cos time was against them.. Since training ended on the 7th, no more interviews, no more training notifications... yet, no apl.. Another long thing has started again. Does Nimcee not know that all these delays could be detrimental to this whole process?? Hmmm... I hope all is well...

I didn't wanna comment b4 but decided to share my experience on the issues discussed above: @ AlfJohn, its true some parastatals don't require bord ratification for the hiring n firing of lower n middle level Staff but also many parastatals defer to Board for ratification of all appointments irrespective of the level or cadre, particularly the new emergent parastatals, I believe the Boards are becoming more involved in their duties of checks n balances of Mangement decisions, so am swayed that NIMC is among these new vibrant parastatals that defer to the Board for ratification of all its decisions, believe me I was employed in2010 as middle level staff in one of these parastatals and our appointment had to go thru Board approval, and after that, it is now a requirement of law for the parastatal to obtain FCC (federal character comission) certificate of compliance in order to have the newly recruited staff in to the payroll system and there's no any need for National Assembly to be involved, once the Board ratified it and they secure FCC approval, then it is done, as a matter of fact in some cases, the members of the FCC normally sits in the interview panels though you guys may not notice that, so the fcc is sually carried along from the intial point of recruitment, their duty is to ensure an equitable distribution of the recruitment among the 36 States + FCT as to represent our Federal Xracter nature on the Country. Also on the issue of Board sitting, even though they are required by law usually to sit atleast 4 times a year that's once every qouta, in some cases they do sit more than that where the need arises especially when recruitment process is involved. The truth of the matter is even the list that were called for interview n subsequently for training must have passed tru the Board and defitely d successful ones would also pass thru d board approval b4 issuing the APL. But there's no need to worry cos they (board) also knew the importance of having the required manpower for the NIN project, so I don't think they would delay it unnecassarily or without a good reason, so guys cheer up, it is coming very soon... One love to all.

Guy u're on point! During the Interview the FCC was duly involved too like you said. I think the only thing that remain now should be Board Vetting, they specifically said it during the Traing that without the Board Approval the whole exercise amounted to nothing.

May be or may not they might want the Board Approve all the APLs both for those Interviewed & yet to be Trained than sitting every time 4 APLs.

The must be NIMC positive news on Interview/Training or Orientation/APL b4 Monday next week. Yes I belief!

how long will it take the board or FCC to ratify what ever they have to ratify? Since they have been involved in this whole process, why is it taking them forever to approve of it? How about people who r given one hand on the spot employment at the instruction of one influential political goon.. does Fcc or board still ratify those ones? there are even situations where gov. organisations employ people and then send their names later on for necessary ratifications. I really do not subscribe to all these Board or Fcc talk.. Nimcee should just let us know where we stand or better still, they should update their portal to let us know the position of things..
