Bunmiodez: Goodevenin pple of God, am anew comer on nairaland, a frend introduced me to an agent in dubia(who didnt promise me anythin but gave me hope of been gainfuly employed) cos am planing of going to dubai by december for work in the IT sector, am a bsc holder n i posses som couple of microsoft certification in windows server, then I decided to make some few research on my own because I believe whosoever ask for the pathway wil not get missing, then i saw this wonderful thread, may God bless U guys real good for the advice posted on this 'looong" thread. @jammyng...............................quite a while, where have you been? as regard the Qatar 5yr work visa, Dr.Dre did justice to the issue and l recalled he said that there seems to be a suspension/embargo of the Qatar 5yr work visa against Nigerians,but, that does not mean you cannot get it, it will rather be very expensive because of the embargo, and as it stands now, you need a trusted family member or friend in Qatar to assist you to act as your link between the company that want to sponsor you, l will also not encourage you to give your money to a third party whom you do not know very well because of the WICKED ACTIVITIES OF AGENTS, hope you get my drift?......enjoy your day..

Salary very difficult to say here because all companies have different welfare packages for their workers;but, in my personal opinion, with what l have seen here, you might get more than 6000dhs as a starting package with a ""GOOD COMPANY"", getting a job will depend on what we have submitted over and over again, read backwards on this thread, l must also add that getting a direct job as an electrical engineer without UAE/GCC experience will be by a miracle, but, it is not impossible,enjoy your day!!

Just called the number for emirate airline now, visa is 85 dollars, ticket is 115,000 visa will be out within 5-7 working days.

A tracking number will be given to track d visa and when its out u go go for ur ticket.

@afolab4.......................you are welcome; let me also add that, l will suggest if you desire to work in the UAE in your field of specialisation, you must arrive first, all things been equal, even if you cannot secure a job in your field, with time, if you can be patient and make do with a reasonable job, from there you can network and walk towards your dream job, a quick testimony for you here, l was in church today and one of the ministers who happens to be from Kenya shared his story, he arrived dubai few years ago and got a job as a doorman with salary of "'800dhs""per month, he was patient, as l write this mail today he is a MANAGER IN THE AIRPORT in Dubai, well paid with attractive fringe benefits, so the key here is patience, determination,perseverance, goal setting & achievable, continue to update and upgrade yourself as much as you can, be with the right people/environment+ THE GOD FACTOR.
