6. Using Poor Grammar

I always tell bloggers who care to listen that publishing posts with poor grammar not only riddicules your blog's but makes the reader think a child wrote the piece. Believe me, that may be the last time a visitor might visit your site if he comes and can't understand anything. Using abbreviations such as "u" for "you" or "thx" for "thanks" should be completely discarded. To be successful, you have to ensure you re-read your post twice and correct all errors before hitting the publish button.

7. Not Studying Analytics

Analytics is great, infact one of the significant differences between a failed blogger and a successful blogger is that the successful blogger uses and interpret his blog analytics correctly.

Analytics helps you get a proper understanding of the kind of contents that works best for your blog. It shows you how people interact with your blog, detailing the time a visitor spent on your blog, what web pages the visitors came from, the location of your visotors and the view count of your posts.

By understanding the principle behind analytics, you can can use it to drive more traffic to your blog. for example, if a post is receiving alot of traffic, you can use that to promote other related post with low traffic.
