I haven't seen a copy of the form and I don't know how clearly the rules were stated.

NYSC is a requirement by the Nigerian government, it's not a choice but mandatory for all graduates. If they choose to make it mandatory, then they have to make sure the rules accommodate all students. If she gets a lot of people behind her and a good lawyer, she might just be the victim Nigerian students need to revoke such rule.

If the outfit is compulsorily for safety reasons, then alternative wears or options should be provided by the government.

This is exactly wot religion demands not for! In fact, in short, this is wot Marx Karl was referring to when he said that religion is "the opium of the masses." She is justified that and she has made herself a fool of religion. I am very very sure that God did not contract that covenant with her, she did. Quit this illogical comparism. Hers is a case of disobedience. How hard is it for you to comprehend. These so called 'masqurades' still wear their kits no matter the length of their hijab. In some states, they are even very strict with the colour and length of the hijab. And when they use their hijab, they must put their face-caps on-this I find really unattractive, but then, they have no say as they weren't forced to serve.

I'm sure if the girl decided to wear her three quarter skirt on top of the trouser, or beret beneath her face cap or whatever, it wouldn't have raised eyebrows.

Nigeria remains a secular state, the NYSC scheme remains a secular programme. There's a reason for the uniforms having such designs. But I ask, why would students protest against such act? Everyone abides by the rules, why must she be an exception? Realizing no exception would be made in her favour, she chose the only alternative, to withdraw. Problem solved!

The clarification is that she was not decanped at night. However the premise that she contravened the dress code could have been handled better with understanding.
Religious belief is part of her fundamental human rights.

my friends she is wright. if there is a law that allow police women and other forces to wear skirts, i see no reason skirts will not be allow in NYSC camp. despites the fact all of you knows that she is trying to protect her Modesty and there is no law in Nigeria that said religion will not be practice in any organization or parastatals.
