DrNeoCortex: Hi all,

I am quite happy i stumbled upon this thread while trying to figures out what to do with my plans. Apparently no one here seem to have a similar issue as I do or at least the few I read.

First, i have been working in Nigeria for like 5yrs and presently earn about N380k monthly minus bonuses and all. Through must of these i have been able to save up for my MBA and written GMAT. I'm applying to the University of Victoria (sept 2014). The tuition is about $33k (N5million). My issue is that i do not have a sponsor to support my visa application. However, i hve been able to save about N6million so far for tuition and living expenses. Another N1.2million in my retirement savings account. Kindly advise if I still need a sponsor as my parents are retired and do no wish to start disturbing Uncles and Aunties for sponsorship.

Is it possible for me to be my own sponsor, considering that i have my tuition and living expenses in my account. Your response will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Yes its very much possible to sponsor ursef...ur financial profile seem very okay but please would love to ask if u were given any funding option sir? If no den u still got some little more work to do...there are other universities in canada offering this same course with funding...check out university of manitoba, uni of alberta, mgrill university, university of saskachewan, lakehead uni, brandon uni,uni of calgary, uni of winnipeg, university of toronto and there are still more....most come wit funding option to ease u up a bit wit the tuition and like i said earlier, u do not need a sponsor..u are capable of sponsoring ursef...all u need do is provide good home tie to the embassy when applyin for ur visa....sept 2014 is still a long time so u have time to explore more universities...Bros i no mind tapping from dis ya kolo(money) na...i gat my pipe here if u let me......

You can sponsor yourself provided the money in your account is not a lumpsum deposit.
Include your payslip, employment letter and a leave of study from your employer.
The leave of study should indicate that your job is safe in the firm while you are away. That will serve as home tie for you.

Hi guys.
I have a small challenge. Four weeks after medicals, CDHC instructed me to pay for tuition and board for one year. I have since paid the tuition, but since they did not ask me to pay for anything when I received my medical instruction, I told myself that I would sort that out when I get to Canada. Unfortunately I did not get on-campus housing, and now, I have been unable to get off-campus accommodation, and my school resumes on September 3rd, and I am really pressed for time because I was informed by one of my classmates that if I don't resume on September 3rd, the school's policy is that the admission will have to be deferred till next year. What do you guys advise I do? Can I submit my tuition receipt without the board and just give a cover letter, with the letter from the school advising me that I am on the waitlist for school housing? Kindly advise me. It's urgent. Thank you guys.

Please submit your tuition payment and a letter from school that you are on wait-list for the on-campus accommodation. . . Also attached a detailed letter from you as well that you have tried to look for housing outside of the school, but homeowners would deal with you face to face.

Then make the payment fast, Sir . . I am sure the school gave you preferred mode of payment, so follow that instruction and use the one that you sure is more secure to you and least stressful and one that you could easily get proof to show the Embassy

I can do that rightaway, but all modes of payment will take at least 5 business days to reflect in my student account. I''m just thinking of the fastest way out of this.
