please friends what is the best alabi to use in covering 9 years from 2004 when i finished my secondary school till now? and if i say i was working and schooling which i did but i am stilling going for an undergraduate coarse but in a different field. would the VO ask for any document relating to my work or my uni days? what i am looking for here is a good alibi to cover up for time cos i didnt include in my ds 160 that i attended university cos i was trying to avoid a question of why i am going for another BSC and not MSC.

@Obo, lol. 9 years is really too much. Ponder what you want to say first. You know yourself better than we do.

I don't know about GTbank card or using Nigerian cards over here. If you're using tmobile monthly plan like I do (mine is 1500 mins talk and text + 30 MB data ....... for GPS in cars). Get a $30 refill voucher at http://www.callingmart.com/ (pay them through your bank debit card or paypal) and call the voucher numbers at tmobile.

Why don't u just pay it direct thru tmobile's website?

Now @ovusbaby,

If you use another agent again...... Na so so same story. Read this thread and discover the power in you. Visa requires your authenticity, good preparation and most important..... better luck.

I'm not sure it worth advising you. As a prospective authentic student, I don't see any reason why you used agent to get SCHOOL THAT WILL MODE YOUR LIFE. You can't tell me that's the best school for you because an agent just gave you the school and told what to say at the embassy..... Ok ooo, better luck next time o.

Pally why bsc again when you have bsc already, it will be very difficult to convince the VO that you remain undergraduate for the past 9 good years. The gap is just too much but all the same nothing is impossible.

Because they set the monthly payment (auto-pay) to finish the exact duration but sometimes I exhaust the minutes before the month duration ends. Also, tmobile gives problems with wellfargo debit card. I've tried that in the past but I changed back to refilling through voucher which saves too long story.

actually i wanted changing my field of study cos my BSC no tite at all wink if you no wat i mean, and in my ds 160 i didn't state that i have a bsc. what i have in mind to say if i am asked is dat when my father died ( he is alive duo undecided) i had to spend 4yrs working to raise money for my uni tuition and when i got admission to a very technical program, i was schooling and working but my coarse of studying wasn't my passion and my work didn't afford me enough time to full time studies. i work in a human right law chambers and that was where i found my passion in helping defending the innocent and poor because of all my trials i faced when my father died. my boss saw the passion in me and as my uncle (my sponsors) as a major stakeholder in the firm decided to sponsor my education so i can come back after schooling and pursue my passion in truth and human right investigation, ( why i am stating the human right law firm is cos i am going for criminal justice administration) abeg this reason na rough thinking stuff, abeg i need una to help refine my reason cos 2 heads better pass only me.

Pls am having it in mind to tell d VO if asked y is my cousin sponsoring my edu. (He has been the one upkeeping my schools all through my life because he bears no children due to his impotency and my parent decided to allowed me stay with him based on our tradition and culture). Sounds how NL? Your God gifted brain and knowledge will be appreciated in putting me through this. Thanks many regards.

Why don't you go for M.Sc instead? Rather than wasting another 4 years of your life doing UG again? Or better still apply as a transfer student, transfer your credits and get placed somewhere around 400 level so that you'll have just 1 year to spend in UG school?

2004 is quite a long gap to cover. That's almost 10years.

If I were you, given this your long gap, I'd include my former B.sc. Let it not look like I've been idle and lazy all these years. Abi o, house? At least I was busy. I attended school. Then I'll now come up with a cogent reason as to why I want another B.Sc degree. If both former and present ones aren't related, I'd start by mentioning how my former course wasn't my preferred choice of course. How my father/mother pressured me into reading it and how I've not been deriving satisfaction from it ever since I graduated and started working in the field. And how I've discovered myself and the course I'm truly passionate about and have decided to go for it.

Or you can come up with something better.

bro the probs i have now is that when i filled my ds 160 i didn't include my uni education and bringing it up at the interview may cause probs. as at when i filled my form, i was so naive about the time difference being an issue and now i am stoked. what do you advice? do i tell about my BSC degree when asked or do i cook up something better?

if u have submitted the ds160, i advise u to fill another new ds160 and go to the appoitment booking site and insert the new ds160 number dere and update it so that the new ds160 will reflect and not the old one where u made mistakes because what matter is the ds160 number code that u used to book appoitment. Maybe this will help u

They don't, probably the taxes charged made it $30. But when checking out, all you pay is $30 which is what's need to pay your new subscription.

About my next program, I'm still writing them. Got many deadlines to meet up both school and outside. I got no rest. cry

That doesn't mean anything at all. Simply fill another DS 160 form, this time include your previous B.Sc education and then submit. Copy out the DS confirmation number, visit the visa booking site, go to your profile, and update the new DS 160 number using the 'update button'. The new DS160 is now linked to your visa application page using the new DS number you provided and is what they'll use to interview you.
