De Tus: @Sewa, please use GTB MASTER CARD.
Master card is not acceptable from Nigeria.
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by samnoah(m): 3:13pm On Oct 08, 2013
De Tus: @Sewa, please use GTB MASTER CARD.

GTBANK MasterCard only works for GRE registration. TOEFL requires a VISA card and I know just like she said, DIAMOND VISA card does not work either cos it does happen to me. @Sewa, follow dolapobello1 lead.

dolapobello1: @ Dolapo, I just made use of access bank debit visa card, went to the bank was told to change the I-Pin which will enable me use it for online transactions. Which I did. Called ETS reg center but still they could not register me. That the transaction was not authorized. Pls help with this. I think the authorization code should be the 3 digit @ the back of the card or is it the new I-pin that I changed it to?

Use a verified Access Bank Visa card.

Ricky Rozay:

YES exactly, that's the Point! You need to tell the VOs what they need to hear...

Even when you come clean in most cases and say the truth and the truth you told doesn't still make rythms and senses to the VO's ears, your application will still be DENIED! Painful truth!.

So tell em what they need to hear and You need to Package yourself Well Well before heading to the US embassy....

See you need to be sharp on that day of the Interview.. The VOs are very smart, and they can detect if you lying, through eye contact, Body Language and Unnecessary Stammering to questions being asked.

These people are trained psycologist you dealing with, but you need to demonstrate to em you are Much smarter... You be 9ja boy. No fear.. God pass em...

As US student Visa applicant, you need to learn how to think very fast! That's very important! Becos these VOs can ask you a question more than ONCE when they suspect something fishy or suspect you might be telling lies and they will want to NAIL you down so they will believe you must have forgotten what you have said to em innitially.

You know when you lie, you will need a thousand lies to cover up the lies you have told.. And most lies people tell might be forgotten.. But TRUTH will Never be Forgotten.

So pls once Again, Be Smart and Learn how to think fast on that Day..

I know why I'm saying this, it happened to me on the day of my Interview.. The VO asked me some questions more than once in different question formats and she was PRETENDING like as if she didn't remember what she previously asked me and the reply I gave her, thinking I was going to change my stance after asking me the same question the 2nd time but I still stood by my words and said exactly the same thing as I filled on my DS 160 form.. No Shaking!!!!

Consistency is another Major factor involving US Visa applications..

See what you will do, AFTER filling your DS 160 form, the day you submit the form, Pls do MAKE SURE you PRINT-OUT the whole application you filled so you can go home and practice and prepare with what you filled, so you don't Forget anything on that Day..

Have your Filled DS 160 form on your Finger tips after submitting it.. That's very important..

Regarding the Employment letter, Since you are telling the VO you were once employed, you still need to take a document to back-up this claim just incase the VO demand to see proof so you don't go there and be looking like a LEARNER....

But they hardly request for documents.. But you still need to get a Letter of Employment from the company you claim you worked for and let em type it on the company's Letter-headed paper and let them Back-date the Letter as well so you can be on a safer side.. You need to prepare for the Unexpected.. So you DON'T give the VOs any slight reason to DENY you..

For example, you were employed in the company on the 15th of March 2010. Let the Letter of Employment be dated on the 15th of March 2010..

Please Once again, Be smart on that day and MOST importantly learn how to think fast..

If you do all this things, I see you coming home with your US student Visa by fire by Force..

Success bro..

bro thanks alot, you too much. with GOD all things are possible. i believe

Additive to what u said, I would suggest that he should also go with a study leave approval letter from the company he works for. This will act as a tie that he would come back after graduation to continue his job.

If you're heading Jackson, MS, there are quite number of Nigerians there. In fact, Jackson is a black planet. Jackson was the first place I've ever been to in this country and saw blacks from every pole to pole but few/no whites and started feeling like I'm at home cry (missing home now) cry

Anyways, you don't need to know anyone prior your reaching Jackson. You'll blend fast.

Hello Joelin. Dolapo was trying to reply you but his post got hidden by anti-spam bot and also got banned for 24 hours because he typed 'c.v.v' which is 'red-flagged' by the anti spam bot.

Anyway, he asked me to post this for him. Here's his post in reply to you:

"Sewa, if you've been able to verify your Access Bank Visa card, then you're good to go, like someone said. Besides, you don't even need to verify your card to register by phone, I just suggested it to make you verify it incase of other payments.

You can also consider registering online, instead of paying by phone (IF YOUR CARD IS VERIFIED), in which case you have to enter the card number, c.v.v (3-digit security code) and the i-pin.

Do well to make sure you have enough money in the account, as that might be the source of your worries (the exchange rate is about 162 naira to a dollar). The payment via internet is the easist method, but you just have to make sure your internet connection is good to ensure your money doesn't hang in limbo."

Note: You should get the links to the downloadable materials almost immediately after sending the mail. A kind-hearted member of this house called webstradamus, I was told set up the mail and I got my own materials through this.

When I said empty mail, it implies there shouldn't be anything in the body of the mail. Just type selfstudy360@gmail.com on the space for To: which is meant for the receiver address and leave the other sections blank including the body of the mail and then send it. You will receive the links to the materials and you can then go ahead and download them.

Do you have your I20 with you ? If you do, you should know how much it costs to stay in ur school's accommodation..

In most cases, Off-campus housing is cheaper than school's, depending on 'States'..
Florida, California, New York are 'very' expensive. The choice is yours.. wink
