2iic: National Leader, Action Congress of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has warned loyalists and aides of President Goodluck Jonathan against taking the unity of Nigeria for granted and setting the country on fire. Can someone really threatened something (Nigerian unity) that never existed? Can you set fire on something that is already into ashes, really? 1 Like |

Anybody who read these statements attributed to Tinubu, the house of rep and does not consider them very biased is not being truthful to himself/herself. This just goes to reinforce the fact that you cant get away with the a lesser evil of the same thing once a minority. Nigeria does not amaze me any longer..Try harder! 1 Like |

Ultimately, individuals like Kuku and Dokubo are actually doing more harm to GEJ's ambition than they would readily admit. By turning GEJ to an Ijaw president, they are alienating the rest of the country and making it difficult for those who are still sympathetic to him to support his cause without facing backlash from their own region. We shall see how GEJ ll impose himself on the rest of Nigerians. I just laughed at the vitriolic attacks some folks are unleashing on Tinubu for what should have been a commendation for raising a point of order. Laughable. Folks, continue your attacks on Tinubu and call him all the derogatory names in your dictionary. What's cheering is a simple fact that he's now on record to have condemned it in case history needs this moment. What has GEJ not tried now in a futile and crude attempt to fight impending electoral defeat staring him in the face? |

agitator:Hypocrisy is the answer. west is better but people from there are so scared to stand on their own. If a northerner commits crime, people from south west will keep quite, but if it was done by someone from south east or south south, they will start to make unnecessary noise. 2 Likes |

mekaboy: Tinubu has taken sides with the north. The rest of Nigeria should leave this APC to the SW and NOrth. When the issue of arresting asari came up in the assembly, the former governor of anambra state ezeife, said that the arrest should start with all those who made previous statements. Which is the right thing to do.Sometimes, I really believe that some of you are naive about the workings of Nigeria. All this grouping yourself with the middle belt is naivety in the highest point. When the chicks are down, they always know where to make friends and its no other place than their fulani and Hausa masters. Middle belt officers were in the forefront of many atrocities inside Biafra. They supervised abandoned property distribution, especially in Rivers state. They killed Ironsi and Fajuyi like chicken. They make up the majority of the tagged IBB boys, their sons and daughter are huge stake holders within the ACF. In life, repeating a former mistake brings the worst outcome than the previous. I can't wait for this 2015, because I believe that all of you from all sides are in for a rude shock from Nigeria. |

lateef4me: I just can't wait for 2015 to come cos that election is gonna be a deciding election that will determine the corporate continuation of this entity called Nigeria.... Man mi, you can vote for anyone you want. That is not my concern. Also, you can continue labeling others as terrorists and peddling the offensive stereotypes looters want you to believe all in the name of demonizing others to make themselves look a better choice. Keep fooling yourself if you think all your choice should be made irrationally out of the sole consideration of preventing the North "lording over" you. That is how an entire nation that should think and act better, ended up with a bunch of crooks who capitalized on your anti-Islam and anti-North sentiments. If you think GEJ, Allison-Madueke, Anenih, Adoke Bello et al are looting less than the Yar Adua crew then I have a 5 bedroom Westminster Mansion to sell you for £10. We should be looking for those who will move Nigeria forward regardless of where they originate. If most think like you then Nigeria is doomed and maybe deservedly so because it can be argued you (look in the mirror) are the direct cause of your own suffering. 1 Like |

mekaboy: BluIvy: Still asking a simple question as per post above are you for Nigeria or against. Its a simple question and does not require you whole page rumble. You seem not understand politics of you think you who were angered by the Buhari and co statesment then were waiting for people from the same political party to publicly go against their members in public. It your duty to make noise when you hear something you do not like from opposition. This is Igbo's fatal mistake they want to stand back and complain instead of adressing issues at a public platform. You can not ask Tinibu to make an outcry about what rubs you the wrong way. Imagine American demecrats fighting for Republicans against statement made by a democrat. Do you get this at all? |
Re: Tinubu - Jonathan’s Aides Threatening Nigeria’s Unity by Nobody: 4:15pm On May 10, 2013 |
Tinubu has NOTHING to say. And if there is nothing to say, whatever he said amounts to NOTHING. Buhari, his compatriot in the game of power made worst statement than what Dokubo said, and Heavens DID NOT fall. NO ONE has monopoly over utterances of this nature especially in the game of power equation. It might interest us to know that Niger Delta will NOT lose, in the event of secession but we know who will lose more. Since our politics is more tribal than ethical then we will dance to the beats of regionalism when the rhythm is geared towards bigotism. We are NOT moved by threat of DISUNITY, infact, we welcome this union if it lasts and wholeheartedly welcome it more if there is a political divorce. 1 Like |

BluIvy:You ignored your own theory , wisdom and unsolicited advise in 1999, when you threatened the end of Nigeria, unless one of you is made president, hence OBJ and Falae was the only choice. Do not always give prescription, you cannot take yourself. Igbos don't owe you or any person explanation of what they stood for, after sacrificing millions of lives, life earnings, starvation for the sake of being alone but you drag them back into Nigeria. Nothing has changed, the only difference now is that the source of news is no longer controlled and manipulated by a certain group or individuals. 1 Like |

BluIvy: My dear, our argument is based on your first post where your displayed pure hatred, cowardice and hypocrisy by accusing igbos. So if you want to quote anything quote your first post. You wrote it so don't be afraid to quote it. If your question is if igbos are for Nigeria or against it, you should simply asked the question instead of being a coward and hypocritical about it. Now if you want to know if igbos are for Nigeria or against Nigeria, here is the answer. IGBOs are for a Nigeria where there is JUSTICE and EQUALITY. IGBOS are against a Nigeria where there is INJUSTICE and INEQUALITY. Does that answer your question. Unlike other who want a NIGERIA where there is INJUSTICE and INEQUALITY. Others who call for arrest of people that threaten Nigeria from a particular region and ignore those that do the same from another region. People that look at all the problems facing Nigeria that is powered by a particular region, yet the point accusing fingers at IGBOs just like you did. Nigeria is going to be consumed if people like you don't change. If people like you will not stand for the truth. People like you who call those that have killed thousands of innocent nigerians just a few rascals. By the time you wake up to say the truth, u might have been consumed by the monster you are protecting. |

BluIvy: My Dear, your argument lacks substance. You argue without facts. you argue blindly. you confuse, contradict and implicate yourself at the same time. You are the one that Says IGBOS are attacking the unity of Nigeria. and you are the same person saying that a party cannot attack their member in public. we are talking about unity as you claimed, why cant tinubu put his party interest aside and ask the president to call everyone that made threats to order? Here you go again talking about party. is APC not suppose to be a party to protect the interest of all Nigerians? Is APC not suppose to be formed by people from all parts of Nigeria? Why will tinubu who is a leader in the party taking sides, forgetting that they have lied to all Nigerians to come under their umbrella for unity.? Nobody is supporting Asari here, we are saying if he must be arrested every other person who threatened Nigeria must be arrested too. So i will ask you, when you are talking about UNITY, are you talking about politcal party unity or National Unity.? Because if you are talking about national unity. Tinubus statement does not have any element of national unity in it. Like i Said, you dont know what unity means. |

lateef4me: @Gbawe, Some of you are such effeminate crybabies and whining sissies. Of all the posters here you mention me slyly and I respond only for you to now say you don't have time for me. What snivelling and unmanly manner of conduct is that even for you? Next time don't quote or mention me and I will gladly ignore you because I hate cowards, dishonourable weaklings and over-sensitive drama queens who think they are free to mention others and then cower weakly when they receive a response. Below, reproduced, is what you wrote that I responded to. Next time don't mention me and I will be more than glad to ignore you because you are not a poster I gain anything from. As for Tinubu, why not show the government office he is in charge of that he is looting with to warrant you jobless folks obsessing about and mentioning him every second when GEJ, the current President, and his current band of government-employed looters are mentioned? It is as if some of you need to be taught how to think so you can make cohesive point and stop embarrassing your nation. You guys are so unsophisticated it is not even funny. When Ghanaians, for example, are talking about NDC corruption then they will mention Dramani Mahama and other NDC current office holder and not Rawlings. Simple reasons being that they are sophisticated enough to realise that if Rawlings is indeed stealing then he has not put a gun to anybodies head or used a Government position to do. Ultimately, it is about those in current government office stealing themselves and allowing others to steal. Tony Blair is raking in his money today yet Britons don't mention him as per the woes of the nation today. They look at Cameron, Osborne, Clegg et al. Ditto for virtually every nation of the world except in the case of Nigeria where any talk to compel current office holders to shape up is met by deranged noise of Tinubu, Buhari, El Rufai et al. Some of you need to get out more to appreciate how much of a joke you are. lateef4me: I just can't wait for 2015 to come cos that election is gonna be a deciding election that will determine the corporate continuation of this entity called Nigeria.... 1 Like |

Who cares what a Buhari, Ciroma or Atiku said? Jonathan is the president of this country and whatever is altered by his aides are taken as words from the president himself because they speak his minds. The statements being credited to president's men are more capable of threatening the unity of nigeria that words from some other politicians. Imagine what will happen if the president says "nigeria will cease to exist if he's not re-elected in 2015", yet this kind of statement is coming from president's aides. We voted the president into that office and he shouldn't wait for a Tinubu to tell him to deal with people who alters treasonable statements and in case he lacks the courage to do so, anyone reserves the right to remind him to call his men to order if they're no more representing his interest. |

mekaboy: I will say what I want. In case you are too hateful of Ghana to get it, I used the nation as a contextually relevant illustration of a political point. If you cannot comprehend that then that is your own problem. Simple point is that Nigerians, like others, should learn to hold their current leaders, charged with improving their lives, accountable instead of childishly and foolishly mention others, with no government position, every time today's office holders are mentioned. Others are sophisticated enough not to do this because they know it makes a mockery of those currently empowered, through relevant government positions, to deliver progress yet are not doing so. By the way, stop the attention-seeking antics of writing with capital letters. It shows lack of e-decorum. |

When an a child of 15 years is fighting with a child of 7, it will be irresponsible for an adult to separate them and start beating the child who is 7 and ignore the older one who is 15. Buhari , atiku, ciroma are all older than asari. When elders like them start making threats and a small boy decides to follow their example, they start calling an adult to come and beat the child. Do you have any evidence that asari is speaking for jonathan? Did the north not counter his threat by saying its either a northerner or no more Nigeria? A young islamic terror leader goes on youtube and threatens the president of Nigeria and boasts of their attacks in the north. The elders ask jonathan to forgive and grant amnesty . Jonathan uses force they cry he is too harsh. He goes for dialogue, they say he is clueless. So in the mist of the Nigerian police men killed recently and baga issue. What gej should be more concerned about is chasing assari dokubo around because he made threats that will be fulfilled in 2015. While he ignores the people that made threats in 2011 that we are seeing the effect till today. |

Why don't you tell current leaders to dismantle the deleterious powers former leaders control "behind closed door"? Do you appreciate how silly you sound? If you speak about Nigeria to non-Nigeria as you do here, they would wonder what joke your nation is to the extent current leaders, with all the official powers of the state behind them, can do nothing about the looting of your nation by "former leaders". Which ever way you look at it, the onus of current political progress fall on the official political leaders of today. 1 Like |
