John Kumuyi, the second son of Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, took his heartthrob to the altar. The joyful ceremony was held on Saturday, 15 June at the Deeper Life Bible Church, after the traditional wedding.

John Kumuyi married Miss Love Odih, who is said to be the daughter of the National Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in Jamaica and former State Overseer of the church in Cross River State, Nigeria.

Pastor Kumuyi, who wore an ash suit, attended the engagement and church wedding with his wife Esther, who wore traditional attire. The bridegroom wore a grey suit, while the bride was decked in flowing white gown with a veil to match.

John sauntered out of the church with his now-wife after the cleric had taken them through marital vows.
Ahuge cake was cut during the wedding by the new couple.
Earlier during the traditional wedding, the bride wore native while the groom was simply decked in English wear.

Pastor Kumuyi's children Jerry and John were born to him by his former wife, Biodun Kumuyi, who died at the age of 57 on 11 April, 2009 after a brief illness. The revered man of God remarried former Esther Aduke Blaize, who was then 65 in October 2010 at the age of 69, a year and few months after his former wife died.

Many Deeper Lifers and others have congratulated the new couple on social interactive network, Facebook, where the pictures of the couple have spread, with lots of comments being generated.

At least they're not wearing cut & sew or looking miserable because if they did, y'all gonna be complaining. Now they're looking good and modest, can we just be happy for the couple?
The parents are pastors of Deeper Life, of course, but the kids may no longer be members, for all we know. So why don't we just zip it and quit whining ... gotta be a sign of better weddings to come

To those grumbling about church doctrine, i believe it is in our bid to please man that lead to all manner of assumptions. I couldn't believe my ears when Kumuyi said he never barred his members from watchin TV.

He never did directly though many of his teachings depicted he didn't approve of it. But as it is right now, Deeper Life has a TV station on DSTV and they encourage members to own TV sets and Satelite dishes so they can watch the channel 24'7.

It's the members who go way over board with some of the church' doctrines.

The gulder was imprinted on the keyholder, its not very visible until you actually get hold of the keyholder. We were students then and since he was given the keyholder free by an uncle he felt there's no point buying another one.

That's exactly what i'm saying. He seemed to have given tacit approval to the mis-interpretation of his teachings. If not, why didn't he categorically make it clear.
I still thank GOD for that Rhythm 93.7 presenter in PH (I believe it was Segun).
