De Beauvoir: Lol. Why the definition of feminism?. Didn't I define it in the sister thread?. Did I tell you I don't know the definition of feminism? . Lemme repeat myself, the EQUALITY that feminist seek for DOESNT EXIST. How is it hard to read what I've been saying since?. EQUALITY IS A FARCE. Wake up and seek for JUSTICE!!. And oh, I didn't say I'm a feminists, I said I'm a PRO-FEMINIST to a great extent(a sane feminist, for the reasonable peeps). In case you've decided to ignore my posts here is my post↓↓↓↓ carujmonella: It's not impossible. I'm PRO-feminist to a great extent. I support sane unbiased feminist. And please if I claim to be a feminist who doesn't believe in some unrealistic principles of feminism, how does that not make me a feminist?. Because muslim women wear hijab to play football, does it make them not be female footballers? . Tsk tsk.. |

You cannot call yourself a feminist and/or say you support feminism yet you dont find it rational or plausible. Feminism is one movement, you're either in or out. Those that are out are either against or indifferent. Feminism is one. You can't make up your own ideas about what feminism is, based on some wrong ideas you have imagined or observed, and then try to pass it off as facts. 1 Like |

axion: Maybe the poster didn't articulate the point concisely as you would like however the analogy regards to MLK fought for racial equality is the same as women fighting for gender equality. It's about fighting for equality period. Nevertheless, you are correct that people can't be oppressees fighting against movements that can free them. |

Re: MRM Vs Feminism by Nobody: 3:07pm On Oct 20, 2013 |
axion: Nope.. She and you are wrong. One can be feminist and still choose what and what principle to support Example: Are female muslims who wear hijab to play football not female footballers simply cause they cover their head while majority if not all, doest wear hijab?. By supporting her, are you not implying that female muslims who doesn't follow the ways of the majority female football are not footballers? |

Mrs.Chima:What about the women that went unclad in the basilica demanding for the introduction of female priests in the church?...they were called feminists by the press. |
Re: MRM Vs Feminism by axion(m): 3:10pm On Oct 20, 2013 |
Mrs Chima. The argument on MLK broadly applies to race discussions, but why bring that up as a riposte on a thread on feminism? My point was: it's ironic for someone against feminism to be benefitting from it. Her response was: but without MLK we won't be here. Duh! It's off point, and even if it's not off point, she is thus supporting me that it's similarly ironic to - so to say - be biting the hand that fed you. |

Mrs.Chima: Well yes i know it sounds tricky but actually you can, it doesn't mean you can't disagree with it, just as much as i believe Nigeria should be corruption, i can equally tell you its not realistic at all, it depends on the context of the environment |

axion: The guru behind human rights for both female and male genders should be written off/off point? . Dude, when are you going to start making sense |

axion: Mrs Chima. I understand your point but I can understand the analogy of the fight against equality not saying it's a perfect analogy which is why I said it wasn't articulated how you would like. A different analogy would be more appropriate I agree. |

Ah the worst of the Nigerian lot are all here Some can't hear the word "feminism" without reacting like rabid dogs on a Pavlovian leash. How exactly is feminism affecting your lives adversely? Ah of course, if you are male you are scared of losing your precious privileges. The ones that amuse me are the females. 1 Like |

Mrs.Chima: Of course!!. Never expect a feminist to say the truth when they're cornered.. Typical. By saying I can't suport feminism to some extent, you're also fighting progress. I'm as well not interested |
