PDP is a structured party,I think the only formidable structure available in Nigeria. Without Obasanjo they are there. Without Atiku they 'dey kampe' When GEJ is no longer in control it will still stand. They might not control the space for ever but they will always be there. Let's take Lagos as a case,AD to ACN to APC,after almost 16years they are still wary of PDP. Umbrella !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With time corruption will be a taboo,a sin,a curse all this will emanante from PDP I have a dream today. 2 Likes |

Amaechi just enjoys being in the spotlight. Let him join APC na, will that make him a better governor? Why is he feeling like the best thing that ever happened to PDP? *he will consult Jonathan* as what kwanu? Mcheew |

Ada Nri1: I used to think Amaechi was an intelligent man. He's proved me wrong. He's nothing but a loquacious attention seeker. I don't think in this case he is looking for attention. I agree that Amaechi is a huge huge attention wh0re but in this case I believe he's just testing the fields. Amaechi lost a lot of his power in the River's state and I'm assuming he probably wants it back. Right now, PDP is at war with APC so he's using the enemy of his enemy to achieve his dreams. To me, the whole thing is smart. He probably thought if PDP fear that they'll lose him, they'll probably do all they can do to "woo" him like APC did. Unfortunately for him, that line of thought backfired. He forgot that unlike APC, PDP is not desperate for power so as far as they are concerned he can switch anytime he wants. Oh well, I still give Amaechi props on his maneuver on this matter. It was smart |

amarilo: Amaechi made fool of those ApC clowns. How can he openly tell them that he need to consult Jona before he make his decision, He is justletting them know th Jona is still his boss. If he is rubbing shoulder with the president he couldn't have made such comment. Any way now that the presidency have given him go ahead he should not bother anymore about the consultation. Na one way ticket to APC already. Dude, Gov. Amaechi never made a fool of the APC leaders like U have put it but has succeeded in exposing how lil-minded President. Jonathan is & note, Gov. Amaechi is very good at what he does or do U think he doesn't understand the gravity of that statement he made? Or that the Leaders of APC don't know better? The G7 Govs & APC's are playing the mind games with the President. Jonathan & PDP, which will automatically drive the PDP's banana & start emptying armoury of ideals which will render them intellectually & psychologically decapitated. So you have to hold your PHY 101 lecturer responsible for your failure to comprehend the latest political ideology used by President. Jonathan's opponents & oppositions & its working perfectly for them because the people of Niger, Jigawa, Kano, Oyo, Sokoto, Lagos, imo & others sees Jonathan as a dictator & bully who should not allowed to a second chance & note, those who U think are friends of Jonathan are also afraid of his actions that's why they have stick to him for now & when the opportunity present itself, they will dump him like a bad habits. 4 Likes |

Afam4eva: It's obvious that Amaechi is a very good footballer. Messi and Rinaldo have nothing on him. I think there's something he's trying to get from Jonathan and the PDP and is trying to use the APC to get it. I don't think he's really interested in leaving PDP. Amaechi will end up a frustrated politician immediately he leaves PDP 1 Like |

Amaechi my dear governor has a severe mental problem......I was at the airport on Tuesday and I was totally amazed at his uncouth and unruly behavior. Amaechi is not I'm control of his village ubima let alone rivers people. He is an embarrassment to himself and his entire family. As we were about landing we saw a large number of crowd on the Tarmac, they were chanting and some of them carrying sticks, it took the arik officials over 30 minutes to bring our luggages to the arrival due to the fact that these rented touts blocked the entrance. Amaechi came down from his car and forcefully opened the gate for these thugs to enter the airport. He trekked almost 3km with them clapping and they were chanting his name , getting to the protocol lounge he did the same thing, he used his legs to bring down the VIP gate with the help of this boys, that is how the forced their way into the Tarmac. How can a governor lead his people to break down law and order? After receiving his so called guest, he invited these thugs to government house and fed them afterwards. Like gulak said he doesn't need anybody's permission to move to Apc, he is a progressive and it's long overdue. The question I have been trying to ask is that these Apc chieftains have been going about trying to woo the G7 governors, is this the same reception they received in other states? Why must Amaechi dramatize everything, we the rivers people are tired of his continuos antics. No sensible politician is on Amaechi's side just the fellow touts gaining from his government and ones he forced on rivers people. The crowd you saw on TV or online just came there because of money or food. Apc elders are not fools nobody wants a mad man as a running mate. They will drop him like hot coal after they are done with him. My opinion. 6 Likes |

Afam hit the hammer on the nail head here. so on point. It is upto GEJ to reach out and make amends, he is the father and Amaechi his rebellious son. If it is the oil fields that where removed from Rivers state return it. If it is the lack of Federal Projects or investment in Rivers State, make Rivers state a major naval base, including military war ship building yard. Amaechi and Rivers state are recognised globally as Nigeria power house. It is a necessary ally for any president of Nigeria from wateva region. How much more the southsouth president? GEJ please don't leave this until it is too late. 2 Likes |

LIFE AND DEATH: I greet you friend, (SORRY, I MAY SOUND A LITTLE OUT OF PLACE BUT......JUST READ AND CONTINUE WITH YOUR DISCUSSION) Mr. you sound a lil bit out of place, yea! you shouldnt be here. thats what it means. you dont just come and ruin a thread with fanatism so to speak and take out more than half of an entire page with your religious convictions. Christians dont do that. if you are to share whatever religious convictions on a non religious thread, you could take at least two lines, not neglecting what people are here for. its lawlessness. i would ban you if i were the mod. you can either go against the political topic being discussed or you state your opinion as to the political issues bothering this nation and how it can be solved. a sane individual wont do what you just did. |

The crowd you saw when APC paid Amaechi a visit were a rented crowd, according to the guys I met in a cab from Lagos park to Aba road PH said that money exchanged hands at the venue, so for people to say that Amaechi doesn't throw money is either they don't know Amaechi or they are trying to cover up for him. Amaechi has stopped infrastructural development in Port Harcourt not to talk of the whole of Rivers. 1 Like |

CyberG: It seems PDP is deeply pained by Amaechi's independence and assertion of his fundamental rights of freedom of association! LMAOHow I wish your age is known. However, having gone through your thread, two options about you are available to me. (1) It could be that you are among the dumbest category of Nigerians for mistaking freedom for anti party issues. if you a married, you must be running an updown system. PDP has a constutition binding them like a family system in Nigerian. At such the wife cannot Bleep up and claim to be asserting fundamental rights. These governors are duly elected and agreed to obey their constitution? Do you know that those G7 for sometime now, have not spent up to three hours in their offices? Are you saying if they continue to run from one consulting place to another from now to 2015 or so, don't you know the economic effect on those states? (2) As people like you continue to dance and jubulate, supporting these anti party activities, know it that you are not only moving towards dark ends, but also increasing the forustration face to face with the few good nigerians who try hard to transform this society. 1 Like |
