The APC leaders also visited Governor Ahmed Abdulfaah of Kwara State and will visit more state governors across the country in their collective efforts as patriotic Nigerians who are committed to the peace and unity in the nation building of a New Nigeria in the leadership of Africa. We need to reform and transform the political leadership of Nigeria if we want to see a better, safer and richer nation. Only the best is good enough for us. ~ Bishop Ajayi Crowther We should not settle for less. |

Picollothedon: cant u take ur time, read and understood the writer before u comment.. Ameachi first mentioned asking permission, which was the reason for this response from the political adviser to the president. Beside they call every president leader of their party all over the world....It is you who hasn't taken Time to peruse the Article, even if Amaechi mentioned parlaying with the President, that doesn't mean that he cannot leave with or without the President's Approval. The Keyword in my Quote is "Allow",as in;if he decides to leave, what will the President do to stop him...what can he do?..constitutionally? #Question. |

I feel only pity for Amaechi(being an ardent Amaechi supporter in terms of his good governance in Rivers state). I keep wondering what will become of him politically after his tenure as the governor. This statement of his shows that he is quite at loss; he is simply looking for a way to chicken out of his present misery; or could it be that he was taunting PDP? Whichever way, He better stops romancing with APC as i forsee them dropping him like he's hot after using him, as he continues to prove that loyalty is not in his character; he has simply marred his further political ambitions by his own hand. Amaechi should quietly spend the rest of his tenure developing Rivers state as he was doing before this power tussle with the presidency. my 50 cents! |

I get ur point, but its all beggening to look childish to me.. |

You say PDP is the problem of the country. Yet you go around wooing PDP officials to your party. Buhari's antics has once again proved him a power-hungry old man. He should go home and enjoy the monies he stole while in government instead of burning it on yet another presidential elections. I should say that the chances of Buhari ruling this country again is as remote as the chances of a rabbit emerging king of the forest. You didn't steal from our coffers yet you have the money to stand three (and counting) presidential elections. This is not the time for an archaic, cantankerous, spent out, 20th century religious fundamentalist who is coming to shackle us with a hybrid of theocracy and socialism. This is a time for meaningful progress, a time for conspicuous transformations, a time for fresh air. 2 Likes |

The president's aides should realize the difference between PDP and the Presidency. Leave PDP afairs to PDP and realize that Presidency is for all and should not be dragged into murky PDP affairs. Enough of impunity and insanity in our system. |

Amaechi is the man any day. For GEJ those deceiving him that he has the support of the people especially the Igbos will be very shocked at the outcome of what will happen in the East come 2015. Ngige will triumph in Anambra to make the picture clearer and the remenants of obi's APGA will collapse. To shock the PDP more, some other governors will decamp to APC apart from the G7. 1 Like |

When they say we should respect the Office of the President;they tend to forget that one has to respect Himself first. |

Ada Nri1: I used to think Amaechi was an intelligent man. He's proved me wrong. He's nothing but a loquacious attention seeker. To add to your views, I'm tearful to add that a lot of political players and patrons in Nigeria don't quite know what becoming "LAME DUCK" brings. |

Gulak just earned more of my respect for this temerity and hope the msg is well sunk in by Amaechi and his cohorts. Enough of the grandstanding and playing to the gallery. If you feel you ain't comfortable with the PDP then take a bow and stop attracting undue sympathy by manipulating the minds of gullible Nigerians. The president and other stakeholders he was talking of consulting were never consulted before the political invitation gimmicks. I think Amaechi should grow up. This tactics will work but for a whIle before it fully backfires!!! |

I quite agree with you for the interest of our democracy, but i am of the opinion that one who has got plan to correct the wrong in the country should have a structure instead of infiltrating their fold some undesirable mind with the quest to rain in power even though they are part of the problems |

Good optimism but wishful thinking shouldn't be confused for reality, else you earn yourself depression. In the meantime, I don't think Amaechi has the clout and popularity you ascribed. Yes, he can't be rruled out completely but the interest against him are more and the seeming unpopularity isn't all because of the misunderstanding with GEJ, rather his enemies are now capitalising on that to have a legitimate fight with him. A situation he is nit handling maturely |

blocker: How did Igbos betray Orji Uzor Kalu? PPA is a party sponsored by Abia funds before and after winning the 2007 elections. PDP did not have an Imo State gubernotarial candidate in 2007 and that was how Ikedi Ohakim under special arrangement was given the PPA ticket in Imo State. So it was expectedly predictable that Ohakim should leave PPA who had no seat in Imo State House of Assembly and had no LGA Chairman nor Councellor in Imo. How could Orji Uzor Kalu expect to call the shots in Imo and Abia at the same time as if his loot used to fund PPA is enough to control Imo where PPA had no structure except for a borrowed building, a few 14 seater buses and about a dozen henchmen? And you come here to make a case that Igbos betrayed OUK. In what way? Or you drew your conclusions from from being an adherent and feverent reader of SUN Newspapers?oga e b like say u d follow IMO STAte politics wella |
