The Lagos state Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braid is in the news again and as usual for all the bad reasons. Beside her now famed arrogance and mannerlessness, Ms. Braid was not too long ago accused of engaging in a dirty fight with a senior female Police officer to the point of near unclothedness.
This time around, in her avowed determination to make a scapegoat of some whistle-blowers, Ms. Braid personally supervised the assault, torture and dehumanizing abuse of a Lagos resident who had captured in his mobile phone, unpardonable acts of impunity by some personnel of the Lagos state Police command against a commercial driver.
