Cristiano Ronaldo has come up with another wacky goals bet with Ferguson. He told Fergie, I'll shave my hair off if I don't score 20 Premier League goals – you shave your hair off if I do. Last season he won a £400 bet with Fergie when he netted 17 times, beating his 15-goal target. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by jejelolatu(f): 6:36pm On Jul 04, 2007 |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 6:47pm On Jul 04, 2007 |
of course Fergie took the bet. . , and he'll be very happy to lose . don't want to see Ronaldo's shaven head but can still manage Fergie's |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by 9ja4eva: 8:37pm On Jul 04, 2007 |
The likelihood of Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze moving to Liverpool has receded because the Old Trafford outfit are understood to be uncomfortable with selling the Argentine to one of their biggest rivals. (Daily Telegraph) NO LOSERFOOL for HEINZE |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by fromuk(m): 8:46pm On Jul 04, 2007 |
its never done for many years now in english futballi don't it will happend. Instead of seeling heinze why not sell silvestre heinze is good as evra too get injury. |

Who do u tink wld be fav pair of strikers next season? |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by fromuk(m): 9:00pm On Jul 04, 2007 |
at the moment we have not gotten anbody to partner rooney upfront and we need somebody badly cos this season will be hot from all angle. Somebody like babatov will be a good striking partner with rooney. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 10:15pm On Jul 04, 2007 |
Berbatov?? Carlos Tevez would fit better or Klass Hunterlaar. . . . But as much as we need a striker, we should also look for a defender. Remember what happened last season when Neville, Vidic and Ferdinand got injured all at once. . . . We mite not get lucky next time |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by 9ja4eva: 1:20am On Jul 05, 2007 |
Saha if nt his injury wahala is a good player to keep. For Defenders we gat so many. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by wormedup(m): 9:48am On Jul 05, 2007 |
9ja4eva: namely ronaldo would have to go bald at the end of the season then i love this bet ! |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 10:41am On Jul 05, 2007 |
Ronaldo himself came up wit d idea of the hair wager so he knows that is hair is on the line, But as much as this bet would make him wanna score lotta goals, it can also make him very selfish. . . especially if he is not gettin the goals. . . |

Razorr: certainly - you're g'onna be home sitting on your sofa like some fat, lazy cheshire cat while JT, RC and ME sweat it out trying to keep up with 'im. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by RuuDie(m): 11:28am On Jul 05, 2007 |
I think a defender or two would do us no harm - by the way is G. Pique staying for the season or he's going off somewhere again ? he'd make a good cover for either of the Centre-backs ! |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 3:09pm On Jul 05, 2007 |
All United needs is to sign a RB defender that can cover for Gary Neville as he is getting old. Ferguson has enough centre-backs to last this millennium. John O'shea, Wes Brown, Rio Ferdinand, Vidic and even Heinze can all play as centre backs. The midfield area is also loaded. United's got more than enough personnel here as well. The new signings will explode if given the chance and i know Scholes and Giggs can still pull out a virtuoso performance for another season at least. United's attack is where i feel we are lacking a natural goalscorer. Should United buy Tevez, things might get complicated. Tevez and Rooney are too similar. Ferguson should avoid what happened to Chelsea by signing too many similar players. Lampard, Ballack and Mikel Obi are the same thing as far as i am concerned. Thats the reason why Ballack and Lampard always occupy each other's spaces on the field of play. Makelele, Essien and Diarra is another example. . . . . . . . Why do u need 3 different players to fit in the same role? What United needs is an out and out striker in the mould of Berbatov or Huntelaar. Michael Owen is too rusty and too short to be considered. Mr Ferguson, please leave Tevez outta the equation. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by rikkyjen(m): 4:07pm On Jul 05, 2007 |
United's attack is where i feel we are lacking a natural goalscorer. @ Jackal, i thought i was the only one who noticed. Wazza and Tevez are just the same. SAF splashing out 20 million quids on tevez is distateful. So whats happening with Huntelaar? Is the guy not coming or what? How much does his club want, lets cough it out and wrap up this season's spending spree!. Im so happy SAF didn't smell Torres ass with a 6ft pole. Let the scousers do 'em dirty buys! Right now, 'em papers are speculating a Tevez buy! No doubt, Tevez is proven. Besides his similarity with Wazza, he's gat a lotta domestic baggages. The guy is still enmeshed with his transfer brouhaha. I remeber SAF saying United was offered Tevez, but he rejected cos he wasn't sure of the deal. Yo, who are we really getting as the out and out guy? |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 5:32pm On Jul 05, 2007 |
@Jackal n Rikkyjen I also share your view about the similarity between Rooney and Tevez, but as we all know, Tevez is proven and he is already familiar with the English kind of game, Moreso, he can be tamed. He can reduce his rugged kind of play and let rooney do all that, Hunterlaar woulda been better but i think Fergie has proven that he knows what he is doing. Lets just keep our fingers crossed and see the whole drama unfold |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Nobody: 5:40pm On Jul 05, 2007 |
Well well well Congrat n your new signing, But my question is this, which I do ask any club fan who just sign a new player: IS TEVEZ GOING TO BE THE MESSIAH? |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 7:33pm On Jul 05, 2007 |
@ J-K No one is doubting Tevez's quality and sublime skills. Carlos Alberto Tevez is a brilliant player but he is just like Wayne Rooney. I understand he's blended with the English kinda game but do u really think this guy can be an out and out striker? My answer is HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! United needs a replacement for RVN. Tevez or Rooney are better off being supporting strikers. Can Tevez be a box player like Van Nistelrooy? The answer is NO. That is what Ferguson should be looking at. Ferguson always strike gold with his decisons but this one might prove fatal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were lucky last season the burden of goals was shared by every member of the team, we might not be that lucky this time around. GET HUNTELAAR NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
