This disease is not new..
Whatever experts you think Nigeria has, I DOUBT AND INFACT CAN PLACE A BET ON IT THAT THEY CANNOT FIND A CURE ANYTIME IN THE NEXT 5 - 10 YEARS. No vex, but I no be pikin wey dem fit tell that kind bullshit.

The research into a cure for a VIRUS (Emphasis on VIRUS) has been on for years.. Thats why many Viral sicknesses still dont have a cure.. Example:: The H5N1 Virus (Avian Flu or better yet SARS).. Still has no Cure. Another one is Herpes.. Also no cure.. Another one is HIV, Still no cure.. Another is Polio, Also No cure. Measles (which you have heard of), has a Vaccine but NO CURE.. e.t.c. Mind you, Vaccines are not cures but rather preventative.

So Madam, If you want to believe that a Government that cant build enough healthcare hospitals, that cant pay its doctors well and on time, that barely funds its universities (so I wonder how or who would be pioneering the research), that cant provide BASIC (Emphasis on BASIC) healthcare for its citizens would be able to jump in and find a cure for a VIRUS in a short time,


Then you must be a Believer and your Church must be Believers Ministries..

@ OGA if you say so. But even the US have only an experimental cure. The Nigerians can steal or buy the technology and work with that. Though i dont trust a lot of things in Nigeria,but i do believe that everything is possible. If we can get an experimental treatment option in Nigeria,it will go a long way. We dont even know when and how this will end.

Are people not aware of the fact that from the beginning of time, epidemics and pandemics of diseases have always been with us? I just wonder why some people keep saying this is the end times...lol! Diseases and outbreaks have been with humanity right from day one. My hand is paining me, I've been typing since morning, who do you think I should blame?

My thoughts exactly!!!..what of the Bio-chemists and Micro-Biologists, the lab scientists etc. Our education system train students to be job seekers.


But come to think of it, enough finger-pointing and blame games. We ve had enough that will last us a life time. This issue of Ebola is a national concern meaning it affects all and sundry, therefore it calls for combined effort from everybody.

We might not be lab scientists but there are little things we can do:

#1. We can organize sensitization programs and campaigns in our local churches, mosques, communities, campuses etc and educate people on the dangers of the virus and safety measures to be taken to limit the spread of the virus.


#2. Avoid use of public convienience.

#3. Washing of hands thoroughly with soap at regular intervals.etc

Pointing fingers will not solve our problem. Ebola virus is a reality and it is in Nigeria.Let's be PRACTICAL.
