@ morenike he process, overall, uses energy from the Sun to combine carbon dioxide from the atmosphere with water to produce glucose, which then can be used as a basis for other synthesis of other food molecules. There are two stages of photosynthesis, the light dependent stage and the light independent stage. In the light dependent stage, light hits chlorophyll molecules, which then emit high energy electrons. These pass through a chain of electron transfer reactions that make two molecules, ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and NADPH (nicotinamine adenine dinucleotide phosphate). These reactions come to an end when a water molecule is split, releasing oxygen as a bi-product. In the second, light independent reaction, ATPand NADPH are used to power a cycle of reactions that fixes carbon dioxide and forms glucose. SO BABEZ, CHOSE UR ANSWER |

@Davidylan, Mary, who is sixteen years old, is four times as old as her brother. How old will Mary be when she is twice as old as her brother?Let X be the brother's age. So, 4X = 16. Therefore X = 4. Mary's brother is 4 years old. That means Mary is 12 years older than her brother. Assuming Mary's age when she is 2ce as old as her brother is Y, then her brother will be (Y-12) years old that year. So, Y = 2(Y-12) Y= 2Y-24 And Y = 24 Answer is B. |

@4Play, If the income tax rate is 0%,the govt's revenue from income tax will be 0. Under rational economic theory, what will be the Govt's revenue if the income tax rate is 100%?Ignoring the economic mumbo jumbo instilled in the question, if Income tax rate is 100%, then Gov't revenue will be the sum total of all income in the country! Right? |

Tayo-D: If every single inhabitant is acting "rationally",according to the rational economic model, they would either forsake work or forsake paying taxes(since the Govt will collect 100% of what they make). You should know this as a GOP leaning fellow, its the underpinning argument behind the support for lower taxes . |

@4Play, If every single inhabitant is acting "rationally",according to the rational economic model, they would either forsake work or forsake paying taxes(since the Govt will collect 100% of what they make). That is true to an extent. However, it could be posible is a marxist driven economy where what you earn doesn't translate to what you need. If the govt takes all, then the govt will disburse according to each's need. You should know this as a GOP leaning fellow, its the underpinning argument behind the support for lower taxes. In a way, I got your ridle right. We both agree that the immediate implication is the govt getting all the wages. You only went ahead to describe its implications. In any case, i'm no economist. I just use common sense to deal with all these issues. Conservatism is all about common sense. |
