Very classic response. Apt and effective. You sure can stimulate the mind when you write free of your emotions. But then, how do you free a teenager from his emotions when he's going thru puberty? tongue

@4Play,
That is true to an extent. However, it could be posible is a marxist driven economy where what you earn doesn't translate to what you need. If the govt takes all, then the govt will disburse according to each's need.
In a way, I got your ridle right. We both agree that the immediate implication is the govt getting all the wages. You only went ahead to describe its implications.

In the above "Marxist" scenario,individuals have no income(no more so than slaves). They work for the state and there will be no income to tax.

Bill Gates gets sick of the US and takes all he has to re-settle in Tuvalu and the average person becomes a millionaire,why?
Re: The Educative Game by TayoD1(m): 7:55pm On Nov 12, 2008
@4Play,

Talking about the implications. I am seriously considering going delinquent on my rental properties here in the US. If the govt is bailing out the banks, its only reasonable that the banks pass the abilout to me. They will surely review my mortgage if I stop making payments now. I'm sure a lot of Americans are thinking in that direction as well. Talk about unintended consequences.

It's moral hazard. The incentive to be financially prudent is being gradually eroded

Absolutely, what's the point when it is just as financially rewarding to be reckless. and irresponsible.

Who was the first President of the United States?
You probably need to qualify that as the first "White" President.  grin

4 Play:

Peyton Randolph

You're joking, right?

Peyton Randolph was the president of the continental congress ("a convention of delegates from the Thirteen Colonies"wink and not the United States or the Union.

George Washington was the first president of the United States.

An armored tank and a cell phone are both dropped, simultaneously, from a height of 500 meters. Which will hit the ground first? (Ignore drag from wind).
Re: The Educative Game by RichyBlacK(m): 9:16pm On Nov 12, 2008
How long will it take the cell phone to hit the ground? (Assume average gravitational force, g = 10 ms-2).

A. 5 seconds

B. 10 seconds

C. 25 seconds

D. 50 seconds

E. Impossible to tell.

@RichyBlack,

Both will hit the ground at the same time. The speed is not mass dependent.

How long will it take the cell phone to hit the ground? (Assume average gravitational force, g = 10 ms-2).

A. 5 seconds

B. 10 seconds

C. 25 seconds

D. 50 seconds

E. Impossible to tell.
v = at; where a is the acceleration which in this case is g=10ms-2
v=10t eqn 1
(v= velocity)

Now,
v 2=2gs eqn 2
where s= distance of travel=500m

Substitute eqn 1 into 2.

(10t)2=2*10*500

100t 2=10000

t 2=100

t=10seconds

Answer is B
