Use the priority matrix. It will help you. 1. Suspend the village house project (I have reasons for this advice) 2. Rent the N1.2m Ajah house (I have reasons for this advice) 3. Resist the pressure to marry immediately, especially if you are not currently engaged (e get why) 4. If you do 1 & 2 above, there are people you would meet, there are connections, and moves you will make as an IT person that will surprise your current version in a few months down the line (this is a maths) 5. Other things will naturally follow. Be wise |

Father, arise and rebuke every storm and adverse wind (physical, financial, emotional, etc.) raging against our families and threatening to capsize our family boats in the Name of Jesus (Isaiah 17:13-14; Mark 4:19) 4. Father, please restore every lost glory, lost virtue, lost blessings, lost joy, lost favour, lost peace, lost grace, and lost opportunities to our families in the Name of Jesus. (Joel 2:25-26) 5. O Lord, please have mercy and restore families that are broken, separated or dysfunctional in the Name of Jesus. 6. Father, please restore peace and joy to every to every suffering couple in the Name of Jesus (Joel 2:25-26) 7. Father, please turn the hearts of our children to You; turn the hearts of the fathers to the children; turn the hearts of disobedient children to wisdom; rescue Your children from perdition in the Name of Jesus. Make all our families a people prepared to receive You when You shall return in the name of Jesus (Luke 1:16-17) |

RCCG SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER'S MANUAL LESSON TWENTY-FOUR SUNDAY, 11TH FEBRUARY 2018 TOPIC: DEALING WITH ADDICTIONS OPENING PRAYERS: Father, deliver those who are under one form of addiction or the other. Save me from addiction. BIBLE PASSAGE PROV.31:2-7 2: What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows? 3: Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. 4: It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: 5: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. 6: Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. 7: Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. MEMORY VERSE "Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD" Isaiah 52:11 LESSON INTRODUCTION Addiction is a compulsive tendency developed over a period of continuous and repeated actions or exposures to a certain substance. It can result in loss of willpower and self-esteem, loss of or shift in focus, social and emotional disconnect, poverty, death, etc. TEXT REVIEW: PRO. 31:2-7 WARNING FOR THE KINGS AND PRINCES The Bible passage literarily was directed at a king Lemuel by her mother. Pro 31:1. However the advice should go beyond the few people who are found in palaces of earthly structures; it should be embraced by all other persons who were referred to as Kings and Priest in Rev. 5:10 "and hast made us unto our God Kings and priest". What are the advice and why? i. Do not dissipate your virility on women ( promiscuous women) because they will shipwreck such ruler/kings. Pro.31:3 ii. Do not drink strong drinks (mixed wine and alcohol which is capable of making a person lose sense or sleep away) because such king will pervert justice and judge wrongly under influence. Pro. 31:4-5 iii. Strong drink will lead a person to peril(ready to perish). Pro. 31:6 iv. Strong drinks makes person feel high. Feeling of being on top of situations when in actual fact the situations are pressing heavily upon the fellow. When he/she is out of the influence, he/her sorrow will return. It is therefore a temporary relief/sedative and not a curative. Pro.31:7 The scripture warns believers to run from mixed wine (mixed substance) that is deceptive in appearance but hurts like poison of serpent. Pro. 23:30-32. All kings/princess in the kingdom should heed the warning. All Levities and teachers of the word of God should NOT drink wine or strong drink and minister under such influence. The consequences of such recklessness is DEATH. Teachers/Priests/Pastors/Ministers/ must be holy and avoid unholy things. Lev.10:8-11 TYPES OF ADDICTIONS QUESTION What are the effects of the following substances/addictions on the consumers? Cocaine, opioids-heroine, amplictamines, benzoic, diazepam’s, alchohol, cigarette, tobacco, marijuana, nicotine, caffeine-coffee, coke and cola. ANSWER They could harm and defile or destroy the body and soul of the consumer. Icor3:17. Students should give other effects of substance addictions. QUESTION What is behavioral or process addictions? ANSWERS It is addiction to mood-altering behaviour such as gambling, sexual activity[masturbation, sex, pornography, eating disorders, spending ,shopping, watching television. Etc QUESTION What do the following scriptures say on behavioral addiction? 1Kings:11:4-5 Pro.31:3; 1Pet4:3. Teacher should give the scriptures to students and allow them to respond. QUESTION what do you understand by position addiction? ANSWERS It is addiction that is associated with power, influence or affluence. The addiction enjoys his power, influence or affluence at the expense of others. QUESTION Do we have some examples of power addicts in the Bible? ANSWER Yes. We have King Saul, 1Samuel19:1;8-10; and King Hezekiah- Isaiah39:1-8 CLASS ACTIVITY 1 Give any two example each of substance addicts, behavioural addict and position or power addict from the Bible. OVERCOMING ADDICTIONS i. Teachers should allow students to mention ways of overcoming addiction. This could be based on their knowledge or experience. ii. Teacher should explain the following guidelines to overcome addiction: a. Take a stand. You must first of all acknowledge that addiction is an affliction and you are already caught up in its web. Then, you must be willing to break free from it bondage while acknowledging that you cannot help yourself. Ps51:1-4 b. Seek help. Jas.5:13-16. You must open up to God. Prov.3:4-5; 1Pet5:7 and to people who can be of help in breaking the evil habit. Surrender yourself for proper screening and therapies pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy and spiritual therapy. c. Avoid relapse. Relapse is to addiction what backsliding is to sin and its episode is usually worse than before the treatment/deliverance. Matthew 12:43-45; 2Pet2:20-22 d. Keep your heart with all diligence. prov 4:23 and renew it daily. Rom12:1-2; Eph 4:22-23. Addiction is really a battle of the mind e. You must avoid exposures to all forms of triggers 1Cor.15:33; 2Cor.6:15-20; Eph 5:11-12 f. Keep the company of those who can encourage you in your journey to total victory. Heb10:24-25 CLASS ACTIVITY 2 What warning did Jesus give concerning rebound or relapse in Matt 12:43-45? SUMMARY Flee all manners of addiction CONCLUSION Withdrawal from addiction often comes with a myriad of challenges usually referred to as withdrawal syndrome. It is incumbent on the brethren not to cast away, [Ps38:11] the victim at this critical time but to show him/her love and encouragement until the victory is won. 2Tim.1:15-16; Ps133:1-3 CLOSING PRAYER Father, let your love spring into the hearts of those who are caught in the web of addictions and set them free. ASSIGNMENT Identify 5 helps the church can render to liberate and support the addicts around us. 1 Like 1 Share |

RCCG SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER’S MANUAL LESSON 51: ” THE REALITY OF HELL?” DATE: AUGUST 20, 2017 1. OPENING I. Bible Passage: Luke 16: 19-31 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. II . Memory Verse: “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” – Psalm 9:17 I. Lesson Introduction: Is there an everlasting hell? The Bible declares in very certain arms that there is. There are 162 texts in the New Testament alone that speak of the doom that awaits the unrepentant sinners. The Lord Himself uttered 70 of these. Hell is a reality, an awful act to be realised. It seems that the angels that sinned with Satan are even now in hell waiting for judgment (2Peter 2:4). The Bible makes it abundantly clear that the wicked and anyone that finally rejects Christ will be turned into hell. Psalm 9: 17. TEACHER DIARY I. LESSON AIM: To study about the reality of hell. II. TEACHING OBJECTIVES: After the lesson, students should be able to: i.) Discover that the hell is real. (ii) Provide answers to same questions about hell. III. TEACHING PLAN To achieve the above stated objectives, the teaching plan has been outlined as follows: i.) After the Sunday School Hymn, Teacher, Assistant and Students take the Opening Prayer and recite the Memory verse. ii.) Teacher should select a student to read the Bible passage. iii.) Teacher should teach the lesson outlines and guide the students through class activities. (iv.) Teacher should summarise, conclude and evaluate the lesson. v.) Assistant teacher should conduct the class, assist students in the class activities, mark attendance, and workbook, give assignment from the workbook and take the closing prayer. IV. TEXT REVIEW: Luke 16:19-31 NO! NOT AT ALL. IN HELL ,Hell is a destiny sealed i. The people in hell can see the righteous far off but the righteous can never come to their aids. – Luke 16:23, 26. ii.No escape in hell except to the lake of fire (“neither can they pass to us, that would come to us’ – Matthew 16:26; Revelations 20: 14-15. iii. All prayer requests, are turned down. Destiny cannot be amended in hell. – Luke 16:27-20. iv.There is no repentance in hell. – Luke 16:30 v.No comfort in hell but torment. – Luke 16:24-25. vi.No mercy or favour in hell, No, Not at all. – Luke 16:24-25. vii. No cross over from hell to heaven or from heaven to hell because of the great gulf fixed. – Luke 16:26. The rich men cannot bribe anyone in hell, not even with money, position, power, connection and property. Not even with prayer for mercy can destiny be changed. No, not at all. V. TEACHING METHOD• Use the Lecture teaching method. VI. TIME MANAGEMENT 2 LESSON OUTLINES I. LESSON OUTLINE 1: HOW REAL IS HELL? i.Hell is a place of torment, punishment and unquenchable thirst, suffering and agony. – Luke 16:23 ii.Hell is eternal banishment from the presence of God. – 2 Thessalonians 1 :19. iii. Hell is a sort of prison where the wicked are punished for ever. – Matthew 25:46 iv. Hell is a place of unbearable heat. -Isaiah 33:14; Matthew 13:42 v. Hell has lowest hell, its fire consumes the earth with her increase. – Deut. 32:22 vi. Hell was originally prepared for the devil and his wicked angels. – Matthew 25:41 vii. But those who reject the Lord Jesus will inherit hell with Satan. – Psalm 9:17 viii. Hell has enlarged itself to accommodate more unrepentant sinners. -Isaiah 5:14 ix. The People in hell will recognize themselves. – Luke 16:23 x. The people in hell will pray but their prayers will not be answered. – Luke 16:27 Class Activity 1 : Every student should describe hell In his/her own sentence. 2. LESSON OUTLINE 2: OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT HELL i. Who will go to hell? All persons, of all ranks, ages, and conditions whose names are not found written in the book of life Revelations 20:15. ii. Where is hell? The Bible says it is “down” -Isaiah 14:9. iii. Does “hell” not mean “grave” where both the good and the bad must go? No. In Luke 16, both the rich man and Lazarus died and went to the grave, as both were buried. However, their souls went to different places. One was in a place where he was comforted, the other in a place of torment and the two were separated by a great gulf to prevent travel back and forth. iv. Will the doomed repent in hell, seek the Lord, and then be forgiven? No. Salvation is limited to this life. There is no repentance in the grave. All prayers of the doomed are denied. – Luke 16:24-27. v. Is there a place of probation, purgatory, after death? Certainly not. Once a person dies, he either goes straight to paradise or the place of torment. – Hebrews 9:27. Class Activity 2 : (i.) Class should pray a prayer of agreement to God to deliver any soul of their family members from hell fire. (ii.) Share any of the descriptions of hell on any of the social media. 3. SUMMARY – Hell and Lake of fire are real. They are the final destinations of the ungodly people. 4. CONCLUSION – How does one get to hell? It is simply by neglecting the salvation purchased for us by the Blood of Jesus (Hebrews 2:3). How does one avoid hell? By receiving Jesus as one’s personal Saviour, and Lord (John 3:16; Proverbs 15:24). What is your choice? 5. EVALUATION– What is Hell? 6. CLOSING PRAYER – Father, snatch any member of my family from hell. 1 Like |

Religion / 5 Steps To A Better Prayer Life by 1Bishop(m): 5:36pm On May 05, 2017 |
A lot of guys out there often have this feeling of "maybe I don't know how to pray". Some think they aren't getting answers to their prayers because of their naivety in the place of prayer. Are you looking for the right words, right atmosphere, right .... to pray? or Do you think you don't pray enough? These 5 pieces of advice adapted from Adam Weber's book "Talking with God" will assist you. Give them a try. #1 Just let the words come out! Say it as it comes to your mind. God understands even your unspoken thoughts. He wants to hear you talk to Him directly, especially in your own words. Don't always wait for the prayer points from the prayer band leader or pastor or bulletin. Use your own words, backed with any relevant scripture you know. You don't have to be a perfect prayer specialist before praying. Stop depending on Prayer Warriors or Prayer Contractors. #2 When something reminds you of God, pray! Anytime the thought of prayer or of God comes to your mind, pray. Anytime, anywhere a prayer point comes up in your mind, pray it as it comes. You don't have to wait to refine or modernize it, pray it raw. Should a thought of someone come to your mind, pray for that fellow too. #3 Write prayer notes! Learn to jot down your prayer points, especially major issues that you trust God for intervention. It helps to build your prayer life too as well as help you to appreciate God when the answer comes. Your prayer notes can be turned to testimony notes. i am a living example of this. Several of my prayer points of yesterday are my praise points of today. My prayer points of today are my testimonies of tomorrow. Yours shall not be an exception. #4 If you tell someone you’re going to pray for them, do it! Pray for everyone that is connected to you, especially if you know their names. Mention their names in the place of prayer. This is particularly necessary when you have told someone that you'll pray for him or her. I often keep lists of people and their prayer points, using it to pray for them. there have been testimonies. You too can do this. It will help your prayer life a lot. #5 Don’t lie to God! God knows the state of our hearts always. Let's be truthful to Him. The matter is between you and God. Admit and confess your weaknesses to Him. He is able to help you. It is hypocrisy of the highest order when you pretend before God. I wish you a better and more result oriented prayer life. God bless you http://churchleaders.com/pastors/pastor-articles/301307-5-steps-better-prayer-life-adam-weber.html?utm_source=cl-fridaysend-nl&utm_medium=email&utm_content=text-link&utm_campaign=cl-fridaysend-nl&maropost_id=713014397&mpweb=256-3371183-713014397 |

Religion / Re: Can Any Religious Person Explain Why Religion And Poverty/illiteracy Go Together by 1Bishop(m): 10:31am On Feb 09, 2017 |
JackBizzle: YOUR ASSERTION IS COMPLETELY WRONG Religion is not a reason for poverty. When both USA and Britain were sincerely religious, they were more prosperous and more peaceful than they are now. Righteousness exalts a nation. Sin is a reproach to any people. Righteousness/Relationship with God, which you call religion, is the control tower of the destiny of any nation or individual. As an aeroplane is bound to crash when it loses contact with the control tower, a man's or nation's destiny would crash when it loses touch with the true God (Religion). 2Chronicles 15 3. Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. 4. But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them. 5. And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries. 6. And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity. (Note: God allowed them to face adversity because they did not want to retain God in their knowledge) 1 Like |
