See why I asked u pple to concentrate on relevant issues. I was playing consular and applicant with a November candidate in this thread only for him to ask me what sevis is, when he is already going for an interview soon. He was asking if it is needed.

Please lets get our priorities right. Their some other statements he made that were contradictory but I wont dwell into that. Please applicants should play "consular and applicant"(my creation) whereby someone would be asking an applicant questions for him or her to answer in preparation of its upcoming interview. You can do video or voice calls or chat, it doesn't have to be face to face. Hard questions please

All you need is God, your $$, school code, sevis number, passport, (if you want it stamp by those customs officials).

I just paid my sevis fee. From iyana-ipaja bus to iyana-iba =150
From there to seme=350 make sure u enter the bus that would take you across. From there i made a contact with a guy that rides bike he's very trustworthy and if you want to stamp ur passport at a good rate too like 2k just let me know. The bike guy will collect 500 naira to & fro. He'll wait 4 u to finish transaction and even take you to where you will change ur money. Just try to trust him. All the best.

@ Wilfem, yes you can make the SEVIS fee payment online using a credit card, however you will not be able to make the payments from Nigeria. So the best option you have is if you have contacts - family or friends in the US, get them to assist you pay for it with an option of paying additional charges to have the original receipt couriered to you otherwise you can just make do with the online receipt.

Nigerians cannot pay SEVIS online from anywhere in the world. go to Seme border or simply ask someone in the USA to pay the SEVIS fee for you.

Can a trustworthy, mentally fit and bright young man or lady that has schools in the US help to pay the SEVIS from or pay through a credit card  for us Nairalanders from there while the equivalent is paid into your naira account or domiciliary account over here.

Once the money is paid into your account here, you confirm and then the buyer sends you his details via email then you pay for the person. Shikena

Things involved:

1) The person must be whom you can vouch for and  his parents where about must be known so in case we need to kidnap someone

2) The person must have a Nigerian account and alert mechanism so as to know when money is payed into his account

3) Must have a school email address

How it would work:

1) People who want sevis should pay into the purchaser's account and send email with the details

2) The responsible purchaser would then pay for pple and send every necessary details and confirmation back to the customer.

I dont think this can work abeg, what was I thinking. When there are a lot of fraudulent people nowadays. Make the yankee person no carry our sevis money pay im tuition and carry opposite gender go club.

Sorry, the best way is to ask your peeps abroad to help you or u go across the border. But if you get best friend or person wey una start dating thru this thread wey don dey yankee already then u fit seduce am to pay for u while u pay anyhow.

If your I-20 has not arrived by 11.59pm on Wednesday, Oct 10, you should cancel your appointment. That time is the last before VFS puts a lock on your appointment of Oct 15. You will not lose 5800Naira if your I-20 fails to deliver.

Didn't you see my previous post or others in this same thread concerning this same question? Princeken, if you have family or friends in the US, simply get them to assist you pay for it online using their credit card. IF YOU DON'T HAVE OR KNOW ANYBODY THAT CAN DO IT FOR YOU, THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE YOU CAN DO OTHER THAN FOLLOWING OTHERS AND DOING IT THE ''SEME'' WAY. IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THAT.

We would ask the same question 200 times when the answer is already above your post. First it was lottery, now sevis, next might be what food to eat on the day of your interview.

Fall 2010 candidates were very successful because they were resourceful and pro-active.

A friend of mine went through our thread and asked if some people just wanted to cut out of the country or were actually going for studies.

How can you be having an interview this month, you dont even know much about i-20 and your i-20 has not arrived, you are the same who asked what sevis was yesterday.

I am sure the lowest age we have here wld be 13 years old ( that's if u have a robot brain). Please let us act like matured people, if we can't conduct ourselves here then how would we act at the consulate.

You were incorrect. Irrespective of their geographic location, a Nigerian can not pay for SEVIS via credit card. It doesn't help to misinform.

Are you trying to say as I be Nigerian then maybe I go collect an oyibo friend credit card wan pay for the SEVIS- as in the person go give me him card details, that my payment will be rejected or if am a perm. resident with a US credit card that my card will be rejected for the fact am Nigerian? SEVIS payment linked to 9ja can only paid thru Western union or a US drawn money order/check Aroy on point on this

Hey princeken, In the past , Nethacker helped paid for some folks on this forum. I also had to reschedule my appointment cos of sevis payment delay so, I understand the anxiety. But in the end I'm grateful I got the visa @ first attempt.
