@salamander GHc300 is about $200 that is about the cost of srt 4910 as posted by a member here.i personally think it is xpensive if u compare what daarsat can offer to that of the srt 4910.A receiver that does not allow me to xplore e.g blind scan, patch e.t.c is no more attractive to me. Someone told me Net2 is at nss7 cband.i wonder if u know the tp.The w2A channel is mpeg4.yet to nail it,may be will try it when i get my hd receiver. |

borderline: @borderline, Tacking c-band signals and ku signals require different approah. Your lnb position for c-band WILL NOT be the same for ku. Please be advised. |

microgiant: @microgiant, That tv india tp should be able to give what you want and I think you should heed my advice of using a regular STRONG C-band lnb to track. Recieve for yourself first then you can think of giving others. |

@enitan, No cause for alarm. We're not shipping any arms or ammunition around! @Emeritus153, Forget about 2m and concentrate on viasat or w3a. Looks like that bird is coming down soon. @Dejsam, Nothing yet. |

@OLATUFU,,WITH A STRONG SRT4650,I HIT A 81%GREEN SIGNAL ON TRACKING,THESE DAYS THE SIGNAL IS AROUND 76-78%,BUT WITH YOUR KIND OF STRONG DECODER,I CANT SAY EXACTLY D QUALITY OF GREEN SIGNAL U WIL HIT BUT IT SHUD BE GUD ENOUGH WITHOUT BREAKING,JUST GO AHEAD & GIVE IT A SHOT,VIASAT IS JUST D PERFECT REPLACEMENT 4 E-SOUTH AFRICA |

It's been a while since my last post, due to the fact that i was posted to borno state 4 my nysc. I was impressed with wat i saw in this forum. Keep the fire burning. I noticed that the northern state enjoy free to air more than us in the east. I hail you all.

Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by GeorgeD1(m): 11:31am On Sep 01, 2009 |
Emeritus153: @Emeritus153, Viasat 1 is on NSS7 C band and you may need more than 90cm dish to recieve it. For those claiming to have tracked it with 90cm dish and less, perhaps they need to specify their location and how they went about it. I am sure of w3a though when it comes to 90cm. Use 12728v 30000sr to track. From dstv position, continue upwards and keep turning left (standing in front of the dish), and you should hit green. Elevation: 83.3° Azimuth (true): 167.7° Azimuth (magn.): 170.5° LNB Skew : -12.3° |

I have a daarsat reciever with the 1m dish. Can i use it for C-band satellites? If yes, which one? Don't take it out on me.@Enitan. i just need answers pls. |
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by GeorgeD1(m): 11:37am On Sep 01, 2009 |
Paps1: @Paps1, Viasat 1 is on nss7 c band and not astra 2b. Try this tp: 3743v 2280sr Or better still blindscan your decoder pointing to that bird. |
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by GeorgeD1(m): 11:42am On Sep 01, 2009 |
cantell: @cantell, You're better off with a 1.8m dish minimum for c-band. Just keep the daarsat 1m dish for sneaky ku birds like w6. And yes, you can use daarsat decoder for FTA whether c or ku band. |
