@ Emeritus just relax. so long as u are able to catch those channel. u are on the right bird. Note. if d signal is on air and u are not able to c them, (ie with red bars), u will c the channel name scroll immediately u tuned to RODG------, TV. then as the signal comes on u c it freezing/cracking. But if the channel name doesn't scroll, then d signal is off air. This is my experience with mbc 1 and 2/3 using strong 63X As I`ve always say, those guys are mostly off. |

Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by twinstaiye(m): 4:28pm On Sep 02, 2009 |
@ enitan I will still not allow your advert here. One thing is quite clear, if this is allowed, the DTH might be tempted to conclude that this forum is into discussion about opening of scrambled channels. I bet you know other avenues to make your advert. If you dont, go to www.nairalist.com, it is a sister to nairaland, do your advert there, then you can place a link here. |

Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by olofofo(m): 7:15pm On Sep 02, 2009 |
spacevice: Am sure that it should be able to work with multiTV, since it's strictly for directv which is basically used in the US, you might have some issues, also, i think you missed something at the bottom of the page: "We do not ship DIRECTV equipment outside the United States" |

@ALL Regarding my request above , i mean which type of c-band lnb would be advisable to be used with 90cm to nail Viasat 1 ( since it has been used to nail it already ) and any idea on prices ? Also how can a ku-banb lnb holder be transformed to be used by a c-band lnb ? Thanks |

Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by pitodenz(m): 12:24am On Sep 03, 2009 |
@ George D Get yourself a strong K5 lnb and all these will be over. Though supermax boost signal more than strong lnb but u ll be surprise at the result of these particular strong c band lnb. The problem with supermax lnbs is their unable to adapt with areas where theres communication equipments like mtn masses. I only use them in rural areas. But supermax is still the best in terms of signal boosting. In ftb if u ve 3g in ur area, the sky is ur limit. Just buy one of yf packages preferable Enhanced and enjoy without disconnection. @ All Badr is no big deal with 2.4m dish, use the freq i posted previously. I ll post some pick of my new installations in badr and nile with lnbf ranging from 0.1db to 0.3db. The lnbs name re DarkGold o.1db ku lnb from uk, Invercom 0.3db twin lnb also from uk, Fuji 0.3db lnb and digisat ku lnb. Among all fuji, worked better in 4.0m fiber dish while darkgold 0.1db worked better than fuji and digisat in my 2.4m eurostar pan dish. @ Odilibe Never cut a fuji lnb cos it seems the only lnb cut by the manufacturer. |
