I doubt that is the reason. One of the guys rearing cockerel here told me its because of the low demand for white cockerels.
That to him, they are basically the same.

Still need a reason from the hatcheries why the price difference.

Good day people, Pls i need help o and its very urgent. I discovered few hrs ago one of my broilers staying idle n looking weak. I separated it from the others. Its looking really weak and has loss some weight too. Not eating or drinking water either.
Its excreting green(95%) and Yellow(5%) shit. I gave them Lasota not quite long.
Pls what can i do or buy to save this it from dying?
I already gave it water that has multivitamins through a means of syringe.

Update: It died eventually..... so annoying!

Ur birds are looking very good at 7wks but Pls ur space needs expansion to achieve bigger results

Mine at 47days..

I ve not counted them to know the exact, but seem the male to female ratio is 1:1......

Broiler finisher=3450
Layer mash=3150
Growers=2850
Chicken mash=3200

Fish feeds for tilapia and catfish are from 6300-6900. Incredible!

No problem in the feed change but support the birds with vitamins during the change to baost appetites and acormodate the new feed

Day 1: glucose

Day 8 -9: anti cocci
Day 10: gumboro + milk
Day 11 - 15: antbiotics + anticocci + multivitamin

Day 36: fowl pox
Day 38: deworm

U didn't just see it that way the bird must have been avoiding food before u noticed the full blown symptoms the reason why it died is that at that point u noticed the bird it was already weak and immune system can respond to treatment so Pls next time be more careful to avoid this kind of loses

I know many of us would have been on count down pls always be watchful once u notice any negetive sign pls ask questions just to be on a safer side

The female broilers normally have a very short comb while that of their male counterparts are long and more extended from the head. On the issue of laying eggs have seen in one or two cases where female broilers layed eggs and if they where climbed or not I can't really say but they do lay eggs.
