THE CONTINUATION OF USMAN DAN FODIO'S JIHAD

Can you open a new thread on that to inform Nigerians.

It was a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea. Both choices were horrible to say the least. I guarantee if jonathan had won you'all would still complain. Nigerians like complaining. Too much mouth action and not enough action. Mentally, Nigerians are still living in the stone age where might is right and it's survival of the fittest. Nothing will ever change in that country until you'all collectively do what Jerry Rawlings did for Ghana. Eliminate the Old guard and start all over. Ghana is better off for it today.

how many yorubas were in jonathan cabinent?

I think you should blame some Yoruba politicians for that, esp those who worked against emergence of Yoruba as the number 4 citizen. You should have known those who influence things. Presently under PMB the country has the worst and totally imbalanced structure. The president, the senate President, the speaker of the house, SFG and COS, and probably the CJF, all going to the north! The imbalance is just a timed bomb.

Wise people don't just react without reasons. The shout of CHANGE is just like using their bread to steal your stew!

Guy, don't be deceived. Even in the most civilized of places, appointments are made to represent each region or province. People need to feel comfortable with the government. It is always balanced. Example is Canada. Ministers and important govt officers are distributed equitably. Unfortunately, the people who are trying very hard to pretend that it doesn't matter where the appointees are from, are the ones who know nothing about governance. Especially a democratic federation.

This is not a unitary or military govt. It is federalism and that federal character has to be applied. Abeg, jettison this patriotic posture. If the North has such a monopoly of wisdom and honesty, why haven't they used it to advance their collective cause at least, even if they don't want Nigeria to benefit from such? We need balance. That's what people are saying. There are good and bad people everywhere.

Am not surprised buhari can never changed let endure his style for the remaining 4yrs .I pray he leave naija better sha

History shows your forebears are the real northern slaves.

1, Awolowo attempted to build a southern coalition after the 1959 general election that will see to the emergence of Azikiwe as the Prime Minister. But, the Eastern NCNC of Azikiwe settled to play second fiddle to the Hausa-Fulani led NCP. So tell us, who are the slaves here if not the Igbos.

2, During the second republican election in 1979, Awolowo again attempted to build a southern coalition to defeat the northern political establishment. He chose an Igbo man, Philip Umeadi as his running mate. Instead of supporting him, the Igbos responded with Azikiwe choosing a northerner, Mustapha Shettima as his running mate while Alex Ekwueme opted to contest as the running mate to the Hausa-Fulani candidate, Shuhu Shagari. Again I put it to you, tell us who are the slaves here?

3, During the botched third republic and while Abiola and the Yorubas were fighting the Hausa-Fulani for the restoration of a national mandate freely giving by all Nigerians, the Igbos led by the likes of Daniel Kanu and Ojo Madueke were kissing Abachas ass all over the country telling him to transform from military to civilian president. So, tell us, who are the northern
slaves here?

4, During the fourth republic, we had just two candidates and both were from the south west but with different zonal backings. The Hausa-Fulani north backed Obasanjo while Olu Falae represented the southern choice. On the day of election, the Igbos again betrayed the southern trust by voting massively for Obasanjo who was the northern candidate.

Finally, in 2010 when vice president Jonathan was been harassed by the northern cabals who prevented him from acting as the president, who were the people that took to the streets to fight for him? The Yorubas led by Wole Soyinka, Tunde Bakare, Femi Falana etc forced the National assembly to come up with the doctrine of necessity that paved the way for GEJ to become the president. Majority of the Igbo politicians at that time were busy kissing Turais ass. I can go on and on but let me just stop here. You people should stop attempting to rewrite history. The Igbos have been in a servant-master relationship with the Hausa-Fulani since time immemorial.

Oh so you don't know why, Awolowo introduced tribal politics in Nigeria just because Zik defeated him in the West, Zik was an orator just like Obama so Awolowo no reach.

Ojukwu released Awolowo from Calaba prison for him to declare Oduduwa State in the West while he Ojukwu declare Biafra in the East so that Hausa-Fulani will be on there own. Awolowo as usual betrayed Ojukwu, ran to Gowon, leaking his asset, which made Gowon to make him his finance minister.

He Awolowo, made Gowon to commit the worst war crime against human right in our history by blocking our food supply there by making people young and old alike to die in kwashioko. When he Awolowo was asked, he said everything is right in war.

After the war, as finance Minister, Awolowo confiscated all Igbo man's money in the bank, and level all of them with 20 pounds each, to set the tribe backward.
After which, the sell of companies and oil well to indigenous owners, no Igbo man was able to partake in the bargain. I don't want to talk about his 3 Rs.But see where we are now, we have bounced back, because we are resilient and blessed tribe. All thanks to Awolowo, tell me why won't Igbos go against him in 1979??

Abiola shout himself on the leg, he said that he will be the president of Nigeria with or without the Igbos, that he doesn't need us. It was a lesson for his likes.

In 2010,you fail to mention how Dora Akuyili as information Minister fought Turai and other Hausa-Fulani cabals to make sure GEJ was installed as the president. Is she a yoruba women. She is Igbo, first class brain.

Check your history well, Most times SE/SS will always be together, the only betrayals that we have in the south is the West. It is not in the blood of an Igbo man to betray, ask GEJ, we supported him from beginning till the end even now.

It's very unfortunate that Nigerians have allowed the visionless politicians to divide them along tribal and religious lines. This has consequently affected our reasoning partern and the way we respond to issues. Can somebody tell me what I have lost as a Yoruba man now that a Northerner is appointed as SFG? I also want to be told what benifits the Yorubas got when my highly respected Chief Olu Falae was SFG during IBB military government. My Local Government Area-Ido/Osi had on various times in the past produced Federal ministers, governor, state commissioners etc without anything to show for it except intangible physcological satisfaction. My blood pressure will remain stable if all Federal ministers come from Umahia ( Abia state) of SE and they perform creditably well. The last time I saw a young man who was made a commissioner from village was during the church thanksgiving service for the appointment! The village has nothing to show for his commissionship.

Did you read my post ? If Yes, good.

You need to see how I was castigated for supporting Jonathan.

Jonathan got a lot of things wrong, but the opposition (ACN turned APC) if truly they love this country could have supported him in some aspect, especially on security.

Tinubu pushed the Yoruba race through propaganda to vote for Buhari, our elders warned against this, but they labeled them corrupt and bought-over.

We are all in the boat together. Let see how the game of power ends.

I wish Nigeria and Nigerians well in their journey of change.

Am beginning to see one the reasons why GEJ failed, he appointed ministers based on federal character and not on merit and competence. Where in the world has federal character placed ahead of competence and qualifications? I don't care if the whole appointment comes from a section of the country as long as there's good governance and prosperity in the nation. The question people should ask is If the persons appointed are qualified and have no corrupt back ground. And in fact, when you are rebuilding a nation like Nigeria, you need your trusted hands on deck, individuals that you will appoint and rest your mind, knowing that they will deliver. By the way, how many yoruba's were in Gej's administration? Who complained? Carry go Mr president, we trust your judgement, just as the father know what's best for the children, You are the father of the nation and you know what's best for us. CHANGE HAS COME, EMBRACE IT OR HUG TRANSFORMER, the choice is yours.
As opiened by Hilary
IF we Nigeria Operate a federal System of Government then political offices have to be balanced amongst all The Geo political Zones, else we are heading towards a cessionist Bargain because other groups are being sidelined.

Though I might be slightly minced by his appointments so far but there is no regret voting for Buhari. Nigeria needed a change from the business as usual syndrome. . And Jonathan MOSTLY DEFINITELY had to go before he runs us aground. I am happy with the new Nigeria, it's not business as usual anymore.
