The residence of Nariya Village had been locked out of passage from the Bridge that linked them to the major Nnamdi Azikwe Way through Kabala West. Those who are desperate to cross were compelled to board a boat to cross the said river as the bridge was totally submerged, while others decided to follow another route which has longer distance.

The flood was attributed to the opening of a dam by the Cameroonian authorities, While some attributed it to rainfall which started on Saturday night till Monday morning, caused the massive floods.
