China fought corruption to a standstill by prosecuting and executing past corrupt leaders and then overhauled the system by making good use of their resources and raw materials to manufacture goods and products via cheap labour whch in turn made them a major exporting giant. They looked at products which was manufactured by other countries and then simplified the process in manufacturing same which attracted international patronage which improved their economy!

Now let's compare to Nigeria:

Is Nigeria fighting corruption under Buhari?

Nigeria is NOT! Rather, the Junkeetering CinC is persecuting his perceived enemies in the opposition and absolving those in his camp.

Is Nigeria making use of their raw materials and natural resources?

NO! The only natural resource Nigeria is making use of is Crude which was valuble in the past. Our greedy leaders were (and surprisingly are still) interested in the proceeds made from the international sale of crude oil and the sharing formular allocated to states from those proceeds which the greedy Governors pocketed and stashed in their personal accounts.

Now that the price of Crude has tanked and Nigeria's crude is being shunned by international buyers, is it when our economy will improve?

Secondly, the refineries were dead and nothing was being done to revive them simply becase our crude was shipped out of the country to be refined in the Private Refineries owned by some past leaders. (There are 2 past presidents who own private refineries across the globe and a former Vice-President) One has a semblance to Apes, the other one was known as Maradonna during his dispensation and the former VP was once a Senior Customs Officer who loves Twitter.

If our present Junkeetering "Fresident" will be bold enough to pally with the Government of the host countries where these refineries are and they become auctioned to the host Governments, Foreign Giant Oil Companies like Texaco, Corporate organisations (whichever way they decide) the proceeds from the sale of those 3 refineries will be used to revive 2 of our indigenous refineries, then we can say we mean business.

But OH...Buhari will not do that because as earlier mentioned, one of the refineries is owned by his "Old Ugy Letter-writing Politcal Partner in Political God Fatherism" and the other 2 past leaders are his "Northern Brothers" who supported him well during his presidential quest) so he will let things stay the way they are. Do you realise how much Nigeria will save from the costs of refining our Crude outside and the costs of shipping them back into the country?

AND HE CLAIMS HE IS FIGHTING CORRUPTION.

Lastly, the South East is known to be the bed-rock of commercial activities in Nigeria today apart from Lagos. The South Eastern part of Nigeria is to Nigeri what Shanghai is to China. If it were to be in China, the Govt will parley with the government of the South East and major stake holders to strenghten the trade and commercial actvities and make the economy more elastic.

Think of what will happen if people like Innoson are given both financial and man-power support. Take a look at Nnewi for example...all these plastic kegs, Jerrycans, plastic chairs, Geepee Tanks, and even the plastic kettles which buhari and his fellow abookis use for their prayers are fabricated from there.

But AGAIN....OH NO!....Buhari as of this moment does not want to hear the mere mention of South Eastern Nigeria. If it was even possible to sink SE and wipe it off the map of Nigeria, he would gladly do so!

CONCLUSION: With all these being said, Nigeria ca never replicate the economy of China! Rather we are on our way to replicate the economy of ZIMBABWE!

APC...CHANJI!

We don't China's nonsense

The majority of them are still poor. The rate of modern slavery is very high with little or no government's intervention. The rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer in the Chinese society.

What we want is Germany/Japan like economy and societyundecided

China have thinking people seated in thinking capacity.
Nigeria has consuming people in consuming capacity.

If not...how do u justify a non thinking person seating in NA collecting a million plus a month.
How do u equate lagos collecting revenue from same source as zamfara.
How do u equate a revenue obtained in delta to be shared by a non revenue generating jigawa.
Just do u equate a child scoring 5 to get into the same school as some one who scored 200.

Simple answer....
Nigerians are non thinkers

If nigeria is going to be great, it needs to start from the upper and lower legislative house because they are one of the problems of nigeria, they are just concern about making their pockets rich. Very avarice sets of people

Whilst Buhari might feign to fight corruption by going after perceived enemies and making media allegations around, when it comes to economy management the stark illiteracy shows. And no matter how his PR team tries to polish his actions, it's glaring that Nigeria is looking down the barrels of a gun.
Nigeria will rise again under pmb and by then you would cover your face in shame.

Reading across the whole point you will notice something:
1.Nigerian have lost faith in themselves
2.Nigerians always believe and hit upon the negative part of its development.
3. Nigerians have this believe that unless his/her tribe man is the president , no development will come to his.her place( especially the igbos and note am igbo grin)

well personally, I believe than Nigeria if we stirr towards the right direction we will be the greatest city/nation ever was
for example, in entertainment in our continent , nija is number one,
mineral resources we have it plenty from oil, limestone ,tin , etc,
funny our pastors are one of the richest in the world also our business men
No natural disaster have even been recorded for the past decades

Now we have to stop being negative in the way we think as Nigerians, look at the president who is from which state, i dont know. that doesnt mean his state is the richest in Nigeria. To me it doesnt matter wheather you have been the president or not, what matters is your heart towards development in your state or constituent. Look at the igbos, after the civil war, they are doing well more than many tribes in Nigeria, Go to lagos ,abuja, and other states, they own big houses more than the indigens there.
You don't need to be a PRESIDENT to start making change were you are from or where you are now..

You will see a man shouting change and still he have never paid NEPA bill for the past three months and he has been having steady light for that period and you want change.

Let us come together as a nation and fight poverty , indiscipline ,selfishness and vain life

It's okay to be optimistic. Typical of Nigerians we believe in miracles more than we believe in working towards our wishes.

Buhari can by being strict and espousing true fedralism so that we dont solely depend on oil to create revenue and developthe country...buhatis strictness is a good thing but if it is carried out devoid of any bias then its even a better thing...nigeria needs to grow...the new appointed ministers should direct buharis strictness to policies that would create jobs and foster industrialization simultaneously in all parts of the country...

[b] it is possible if only we have good followers. The elites understand Nigeria's problem and they are comfortably playing with our heads. Our problem is not corruption...our problem is that the Nigerian citizens are sick. ALL of them..all of us. We are all suffering from Amnesia.. that is the main problem. We make noise for a day or two and we move on like nothing happened. We don't have leadership problem, we have followership problem.

At the inauguration of the eight assembly, we made noise as usual for a few days about their salaries and allowances and suddenly, we went quiet again.
I recall with nostalgia during GEJ Era, how Nigerians screamed about the subsidy scam (otedola and Lawan), maina and pension scam, police fund scam, Halliburton scam and many others. But as usual the noise lasted a few days and then gross silence...

NIGERIA needs good followers...followers who will not only ask questions but also sustain the questions until answers are provided. Followers who understand their rights and duty as Citizens. Followers who know they can recall their senators if they are not well represented.....

Good followers, make good leader tomorrow and it's only with good and resilient followers that corruption can be properly dealt with

Yes we can replicate what the Chinese has done economically. It took China all of 35 years of slogging to get where they are today.

In Nigeria,I say solve the power grid problems, embark on infrastructural development, especially durable roads and most of our economic problems will disappear.

If we could grow the economy with generators at the rate of 7% since 1999, what will be the rate of development if power supply is available? I predict double digit growth.

If we could come up with Nollywood and the entertainment industry (the largest in Africa) with generators on set and horrible roads, Nigeria can do much more with better infrastructure on ground.

Solve the power issue and cost of production, services and retail goods will reduced drastically. Foreign companies which go to Ghana for manufacturing purpose whilst targeting the Nigerian market will remain in Nigeria.

Think about this, millions of SME's can be set up by ordinary Nigerians without extra budgeting for alternative power.

Banks, firms and large companies will save billions of funds that go to the purchase of power plants, gas and maintenance.

All the GSM network in Nigeria have generators in all their base stations across the country. That's hundreds of thousands of generators that cost billions anually to maintain and run. We can have call/data cost reduced by 50% if GSM companies don't have to rely on diesel generators.

If we solve the power problem half of our economic and social mess will be obliterated.

Yea and I must admit BOTH of us are guilty. Youths and adults, we rant on Nairaland, on Facebook, Twitter and other social media while our senators pretend to be crying outside about the comments but laugh about at us and our stupidity when they get home, knowing fully well it's just a media revolution. youre correct...in order to achieve that we need to be united as youths to stage such revolutions...we need to think as one...but believe ne a day is comung when such revolution will occur...even if we arent united now someday we would...when nigeria gets to a point when no jobs anywhere for anybody then we would run amok to maim or mob our leaders...
