~Sauron~:I think you will find out that barca dominated possesion both home and away. Failure to put away chances created cost them that match. Yes giggs was below par but so where both anderson and carick . |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by Sauron1: 6:12pm On Aug 28, 2009 |
chic2pimp: As soon as Giggsy became a liability defensively n offensively. . . .It became a mammoth task for Carrick and Anderson to contain 3 quality Barca midfielders. Once Barca took control of the midfield, United lost the initiative and the attackers were starved of quality deliveries. One bad unit in a system is enough to corrupt the whole works. Fergie miscued starting Giggsy that day. |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by chic2pimp(m): 6:53pm On Aug 28, 2009 |
~Sauron~:Fergie did not see it that way u know. At half time when he made his first substitution and decided to bring scholes on,he sacrificied anderson not giggs for scholes. |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by Sauron1: 6:56pm On Aug 28, 2009 |
chic2pimp: And did it change anything? Hell Nah. . . . His love for his old guards cost him the game. He tried the experiment of playing Giggsy in a 3-man midfield against Arsenal at OT last season. The schitzo backfired as United failed to record a single shot on target even with Ronaldo on the pitch. He shoulda tried someone else in the midfield. . . . .Gibson woulda done a good job containing the likes of Iniesta/Xavi but he opted for Giggs. |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by chic2pimp(m): 7:34pm On Aug 28, 2009 |
~Sauron~:U have the handsight perspective on things, fergie was not afforded that luxury. Till dis day fergie does not believe your theory,he acknowledges his team were thoroughly outplayed. |

With some help from the ref and a slow thinkin Gunner y'all won but striking when the iron's hot is the name of the game and y'all did that so the spoils go to the victors impressive turn-around i'll admit although uber-lucky And since ma caveat was fulfilled i'd also admit i was hasty in judging the Scummies |

- Notice that Almunia's hands did not even catch Rooney, instead it was rooney that fell on top of him intentionally . . . . . . . . Almunia's hands actually caught the ground and hit the ground infront of Rooney - I think Rooney was already falling, before he even hit almunia . . . . (he has been taught well in synchronised diving, Eduardo still has a lot to learn ) |

@No2Atheism, stop spamming. One would think Arsenal has never got a wrong decision/call given in their favour in the past. |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by No2Atheism(m): 2:28pm On Aug 30, 2009 |
it must be shouted on the roof top that ManUtd got lucky, the took away the opportunity of rubbing ur face into the sweet victory. At least now u cannot make fun with the victory since u know its tainted. |

No2Atheism: But u weren't robbed when Adebayor used his 2 hands to score a goal at OT some seasons ago. I am sure Mike Dean also told Diaby to head the ball into his own goal. Buncha losers. |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by superstar1(m): 5:32pm On Aug 30, 2009 |
Bunch of bad losers, do they think we have forgotten Gallas tackle on Utaka , blatant penalty with red card interest neither have we forgotten Eduardo the Nollywood star , thank God Mike Dean opened his eyes to see that of Ebou the comedian!!!!!!!!!! I have watched the match 3ce now, arsenal played purposeless footie thruout the 90mts, they possession yes, but with how many shot at goal. Statiscally, we had 51% possession compared to theirs of 49%, Men are celbrating and baies are whinning, WE RULE YOUR MIND AND YOUR WORLD PROUDLY UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by No2Atheism(m): 5:46pm On Aug 30, 2009 |
