SamueItem337:bros even the 3rd choice is good enough, stop fighting for Maduka Okoye and allow Nwabali to solidify his place…we need a tradition of seeing our number 1 keep crucial games…in 2010 WC qualifiers would you wanna risk dropping Enyeama to the bench because you have another quality Ejide as second choice? Ejide was not as good as Enyeama in eagles colors same way as Okoye is not as good as Nwabali in eagles colors okoye can come in after we must have qualified, maybe like the last match of qualifiers 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Guys, there's a question we need to ask. How come Eguavoen deployed the same 3-5-3 Peseiro used at the AFCON, yet his team had better flow and more goals per match than Peseiro? This is not in praise of Eguavoen oo. I'm only just wondering maybe the instructions coaches tell players affects how they interpret their roles in a particular formation. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Goke7: 3:18pm On Sep 09 |
Mujtahida: Perfection, the boys were already used to it and just added more expression according to the instructions of the coach who must have studied how the system was deployed at Afcon. My observation though and it justified all I have been saying since that we ought not to have thrown everything we did at Afcon away. |

7demons: Since we are familiar with our foes, qualifying for world cup 2026 might just be possible. Also, South Africa, Benin, Rwanda and Zimbabwe are known for drawing games so one way or the other, they will cancel themselves out. If we can win all our 6 world cup qualifying matches, we would have a total of 21 points. Hopefully South Africa will meet Benin at home and away and possibly draw the two games. We just need to be focused with every game we play. 3 Likes |

Goke7:Practice makes perfect abi. I see sense in what you just said. But na wa ooo. Who swear for Finidi for him to ditch this formation and start tinkering with something new. Who knows if he had stuck with it, he'd have gotten better results. 3-5-3 is not perfect but given the shortness of time, and since the players are used to it, I think Eguavoen was smart to use the formation. Maybe he even discussed with the players and they told him that they are comfortable with the formation. 1 Like |

Finidi and Oliseh have few things in common: they come with the intimidating aura of their sterling performance in their heyday; they are very poor in man-management; they lack tact in handling the media. 6 Likes 2 Shares |
