TheSuperNerd: Of course you know me very well, it has been more than 3 years I reckon. Anyways personally I thought Oshimen would win, I don't think Chuks could have won, like it really wasn't possible but I thought Oshimen had a solid chance. It makes no sense that CAF judges the APOTY based on goals and trophies and then they judge the young POTY on performance, that's double standard, otherwise Mahrez should have won. The only issue I have with this conversation is saying that because Chuks plays for Villarreal he is at a higher level than Hakimi, no. 3 Likes |

Blueelf: When an organization wants to be reputed as one with integrity, they make sure they are responsible for closing all loopholes that would warrant questions about their motives. As far as I'm concerned, that list is compromised. Matip making the list just because he won the UEFA Champions League makes sure of that. This is a player I can't remember the last time he kicked ball in organized competition here on the continent. I wouldn't have raised eyebrows is Benatia had made the list in his stead. |

Finally, Michael speaks my language after so many decades of us speaking in parallels. Me speaking English and he speaking Yiddish. Anyway, thanks goodness you also felt Osimhen had a super chance and rightly so. You indeed thought he was meant to win. Meanwhile, on what you find disagreeable, well it was only my statement to counter the point trying to belittle Osimhen by putting Hakimi at a WAY Higher level than Osimhen using the Bundesliga bigger than Ligue 1 logic. By that person's logic, it then means Chuks being in La Liga is also higher than an Hakimi in the Bundesliga since La Liga is higher than the bundesliga also. So Michael you see... It was only me pointing out the flaws in the argument made for Hakimi vs Osimhen. That is the purpose for the La liga >>>> bundesliga. No harm done... And yes @bolded... We know each other quite well. How time flies... Mickael2: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Danielnino00:Mourinho wont take that rubish. He is too rigid as a wing back and commits needles fouls week in week out. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 11:23pm On Jan 07, 2020 |
TheSuperNerd: Person wey carry that argument come doesn't even know who they are supporting. You can only score against the team that you are facing and he has been doing that all year round. Dortmund have actually been underperforming this season, that is even supposed to work against Hakimi, was it not Regullion that kicked him out of Madrid? Oshimen deserved it hands down, just like the Super Falcons deserved the female team of the year, I mean a Cameroonian team that should be banned for that stunt they pulled at the world cup suddenly gets a medal instead? CAF self. 1 Like |

Mickael2: Regullion thats not a regular kicked him out of mardid? Lol You are even more funny than others trying to prove a point How does kicking hakimi out of madrid makes him not deserve to win the award? So osimhen deserve it playing for chaleroi and half season at lille? Lol Try and think before you talk next time We are saying who deserve to win an award and you are here telling us of who kicked hakimi out of madrid I am sure if you have a full back with goals and 6 assist in the bundesliga you wont say such You guys are just blinded by sentiment 2 Likes 1 Share |

Why was he chipped off from PSG if he was that good? Please its a CAF award and should be based on club and country performances. |

Person play for big club no mean say him be the best for the wing wey him dey play. My brother go ask Manu fans howfr about Lingard. Abeg that ur argument no follow. You should also note that some coaches just like a particular player and would play him regardless of how useless he is. Lampard, Ole,,Conte,Sarri etc are good examples. Goodnight make i sleep. |

Please, you people should come and explain to me how Matip is on CAF XI despite publicly dumping Cameroon and Africa. Does this mean that if Enyeama puts in a good performance at club level, he can make it into CAF XI? Or, if Okocha decided to pick up his boots, play for Madrid and put in a good performance, he could also be in team of thee year? In which case, does that seem logical to any of you? Would Europe include a player that has quit international football in their team of the year? If not, how can you defend CAF, if they make questionable decisions like this? What are the assurances that their decisions have a smoke of integrity about it? And if they can make such blatantly foul and idiotic decisions, which chest are some of you using to defend any of their decisions? I understand that as Nigerians, we think shady and questionable decisions are normal and we should all suck it up, but as far as I am concerned, the only sentimental people, are the ones supporting this FARCE called CAF Awards 8 Likes 1 Share |

Hmmmm. Caf Award continues to show half circus, half dinner. How do Kanu n Da Bull manage in a hall where french is spoken all thru without regard for english!? Abi interpreters dey? Caf vs supersport continues. French awards as usual. They do head to head for a section, then use trophies for another and then teamwork in another. No uniform criteria. Sad. This Hakimi debate weak me. Algeria win male team for their performance at afcon Cameroun win female team for what exactly? If its snubbing Nigeria, the SA ladies are there to choose instead. Not this disgrace of a team Rem some years back when goals was used to include Emenike in the team(2013.) Now its European form instead, thus Ighalo is out. Funny CAF!!! At least they didn't cheat Mane. That would be Circus 100percent!!! But this Young player was just given to the wrong fella, simple. 3 Likes |

daveP:it is the people supporting CAF on this thread that should re-evaluate their values in life, rather than constantly trying to form neutral and unsentimental. There is sentiment even in supposed lack of sentiments. They are telling us today that Hakimi's club form is what they used to judge, so, why is it CAF Awards if they are only giving awards to Europe-based players? Since no Nigerian player in Nigeria is good enough for their dirty sham awards, I strongly suggest Tammy Abraham and Dele Alli be considered for the next edition, at least now we know that CAF is rewarding Europe-based players of African origin, rather than those who play in Africa. An organization that spit on themselves to crown their white masters, tomorrow someone will ask why Africa doesn't progress. You cannot spite your nose and progress, it can NEVER happen. No Bennacer in team of the year, despite his stellar performance in AFCON and some people are here talking about Hakimi that coyldn't get past Benin Republic. I dey shame for them, they have also sold their brains to Jim Beglin 2 Likes |

Jesse Lingard plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world but he is rubbish.. Aurier was good while he played for PSG, but he's been rubbish for a while now.... Mickael2:THIS! That Cameroonian team was easily the worst team to ever represent Africa. Zero Sportsmanship and yet, they were rewarded for throwing tantrums and distracting the continent, affirming that animals and lesser beings actually live here. Anyway, those rogues at CAF aren't interested in Female Football, I bet they just do 'tumbo tumbo' to vote for Female Team of the Year |

safarigirl:Before they say its only cos someone is biased, that Bennacer own pain me. I saw the formation. Twas a flat middle. So its a no DM year for CAF. Tueh. And some of us on this thread are diving right into this Babylonian circus of blinded criteria caf uses to argue. It's sad. You use Afcon for one, use europe for another..... Until 11 complete. Urgggh. Caf champions league that they sat on when Ahmad came is once again useless as nothing except annual participation to it. I trust Supersport wanted English for broadcast but caf frenchies withstood that plan. Smh. 1 Like |
