I learn by sight. Mama never ate food cooked by her children neither by anyone else. She told me to simmer my meat and sauces not boil it to maintain flavor. To use cornstarch to marinate meat along with spices to keep it moist when cooked. Clean as you cook. How to make quick soup in 30 min or less. Remindin me that each soup is unique as the individual I have to come us with my style. |

I learned to boil meat or chicken with garlic and ginger. I hated it then but now I appreciate it. The worst one she did was blending pepper with ginger and garlic. Damn I had to cook different soup entirely. |
