@doyen06 I remember the first time i reached out to you concerning NSW stream 2, you have been of immense blessing and direction to me on my own journey. This forum brings us together not as spectators but as a family. Our goals are specific and shared. Your testimony fuels my faith. In a short while and by God grace this September. It's been a month of good rain and may it continue for all who await ITAs and Grants.
When the time comes, please share your IOM concession testimony as well. Sydney awaits. Godspeed my friend, see you soon.

All glory be to God for he has done great things.
In the early hours of today, I got 4 grant emails for me and my family members.
This has been a very long journey, my first post on this thread is March 17, 2015.
I want to say special thank you to some old Members most importantly Sir Bellong for accomodating all my whatsapp messages and calls, BossladyMo, fermadimako to mention but a few.
As hard as it is for a camel to pass through the hole of needle, so it is for me to get my Aussie dream to this level.
I'm one of those IT guys that couldn't make high points to get an ITA.
ACS assessment positive since April 2016, TRA assessment negative for wife and finally vetassess positive for me. Four PTE academic exam with 10 as the highest point.
Miraculously NSW stream 2 pathway opened the ITA door for me after two years of waiting.
I want to say a special thank you to those members who stood by me while packaging my visa application; Mr Jamson, Mctowel and Bellong.
I want to say all of you are wonderful and God bless you real good.
To my vigil mate(ivie), I pray your grant comes quick too. To my naira land bestie kikiade, thanks for all the support and advise, I hope to see you in Australia pretty soon.
Finally, I want to say thank you to all members for sharing your experiences on here and I want to encourage you all to read and research well, there is always a way out for you.

remember, psychology is assessed by APS and you must have spent 6years in study ing. so is wise to pickup Master form first. so that study can be 6yrs

@chuglothen

Thank you so much for the comments and opinions.

So sad about the Tier 2 thing of University of Ilorin ( i finished 2008) but all good.

I think i will work more on English, attempt PTE first then IELTS. My concern with getting 8 in writing for IELTS is my bad handwriting.

I ought to have done assessment for my wife, she can easily get positive result for Agricultural Scientist ( also from Unilorin but 5 year duration course; will this be Bachelors or Associate as well with regards the tier 2 class? but i'm a bit skeptical about the cost and from my calculation she can only get 60 points too. I plan to use her for last resort. Age- 30, degree( 15 or 10), Exp- 10 (graduated 2011) and partner 5pts.

Overall, it is cheaper for me to do PTE(52k) and IELTS(68k) than going for the Vetassess assessment for my wife (about 900aud + other costs of transcripts, looking at 300k)

Based on the report from ISCAH dot com, best bet is to hit 70 points.

Lastly, congratulations to all who just got their grants.

I pray i get mine too soon In sha Allah.

Nothing we have is truly ours.. God alone be praised and to Him alone we are all indebted not to any man..

Centripetal234,

I want to suggest that you get a job with an NGO to build experience towards a welfare centre manager. In Australia, to be a clinical psychologist, you must have studied for at least 6yrs, 4yrs of Bachelor and 2yrs of Masters.

@Masonkz,

Why do you have to write IELTS general if you get a good score in academic?

I salute the gurus in the house.
Pls am nominating Electrical engineering and trying to claim points through 3yrs of work experience. But my fear is that my salary [200k naira monthly] may appear too small for standard electrical engineers. Please does anyone knows wat the standard or minimum reasonable rate should be.
Thanks

ACWA is not the body assessing social worker. I am not sure what ACWA will assess his degree to be equivalent to, I would have asked he assess as a welfare centre manager. However, he can assess as a community worker, it is a level 2 occupation sponsored on 489 by SA and both 190/489 by NT.

Thank you for your response.
Yeeshash told me u need a bsc for positive accessment for Welfare center manager. His bsc will most likely be accessed as an aqf diploma
I'd read up on community worker.

Thanks Boss. Preparing for IELTS already. Appreciate.

[quote author=bellong post=60363159]

I guess someone already answered you.

My addition is that you should try very hard to hit a 20point score in your English test to be able to get invitation faster. Your possible point breakdown is below.

Qualification. 15
Age. 30
Experience. 5
English. 10 0r 20?

You either have 60 or 70 points depending on your performance in English. Your chances are in your hands bro. Goodluck.
