Long post alert.

So our journey started January Last year.

PTE =20 points (January 2017)
ACS =( Feb 2017) 10 years experience reduced to 4.
Experience= 5Pts
Education 10pts.
Age =25.
Total =60 pts

Applied for EOI on 04/03/2107 with 60pts (189).
65 points nsw. (190). (Vic was closed)

Of course our point was low and 263111 had already reached its ceiling.
However, we were hoping for two things.
Getting called in July 2017, when the new list is out, based on we'd have been on the queue for over three months and an increase in our point in Oct (work anniversary).

The first didn't happen..the second did.
Still no ITA.

Then I sent @alphadoor an email sometime in Sept..or maybe he sent me an email. Can't really recall.

And he explained how to go about correcting the "injustice" of ACS reducing 11years to 5 years.
(Took a lot of convincing and another of my Husband's colleague getting his Aussie Grant for my husband to agree to accessment again. He was already fed up with the whole process. )

Another ACS assesment in October 2017.
November 2017- Acs assessment report came out. (Took about 8 weeks. Compared to the 10 days it took in January. That's when I knew, Buhari don dey chase everyone comot).
Report =9yrs plus experience given. Hallelujah!

Submitted another EOI in Nov 17 with Vic and updated the other one for NSW and 189.
Profile now became -70 points total. 75 for 190.

Age -25
English -20
Education -10
Experience -15.

02 Jan- Victoria invitation to apply for state nomination.
03 Jan-applied.
29Jan -Victoria rejection of state nomination.

02 Feb -NSW invitation to apply for state nomination.
06 Feb -applied.
26th March - ITA
Hallelujah.

I was going to wait till Grant to share this but I don't know who the information here might help.
Lack of proper information from scratch is what caused us to have gotten the first assessment wrong, paying another 500 aud for assessment and being delayed this long. However, I'm a strong believer in God's timing is never wrong.

I can't thank @Alphadoor enough.
I can only pay it forward from time to time by responding to questions here.
Thank you @bellong for this thread.
Also to everyone who have responded to my plenty questions here when I just joined the thread, thank you.

Keep us in your prayers and I'm praying everyone who is waiting for good news too will share there's soon.
Grant fall on us soon. Amen..

Okay,

I feel a bit reluctant posting here, because I am about to advertise, and derail at the same time tongue

Edakun, hear me out.

It's about money transfers and the best online service to use when you live in places like Aussie and NZ.

I discovered transfer wise, and I have been using them.

From the sister thread, I was told that cashremit is way better for Aussie residents.

After seeing the picture comparisons below, we can agree that there's really none like transfer wise at the moment.

Pic 1 - cashremit rate

Pic 2 - Transferwise

If you wish to signup for TWise (or even visit the website), please follow this link below, that way, you help my ministry (and yours), move forward. Yes, if you sign up, you get to transfer up to 500 dollars at no charge.

Howbeit, do you have any idea why Victoria rejected to grant state nomination after inviting you to apply? Actually thought it's almost automatic once you have been invited to apply?

For ICT it's not automatic.
The system automatically invites you via EOI (This is called pre-invite) after which you will be required to submit all your documents to the state, if they like it... You get ITA and if otherwise.... back to the pool....
This applies to VIC & NSW 190 applicants

Howbeit, do you have any idea why Victoria rejected to grant state nomination after inviting you to apply? Actually thought it's almost automatic once you have been invited to apply?

For Victoria, it's not automatic.
This is the mail..
"Following a review of your application, we regret to inform you that you have not been selected for visa nomination by the Victorian Government.

Your application for Victorian Government state nomination was reviewed individually and assessed with a focus on your ability to address a number of criteria, including:

 your ability to meet the minimum eligibility criteria,

 the demand for your particular skills and expertise, and your ability to find work in Victoria,

 the suitability and transferability of your qualifications, skills and experience – including any specialist capabilities – to the needs of Victoria’s labour market,

 your ability and commitment to establishing yourself, and any dependents, in Victoria

 the number of nomination applications received relative to the number of nomination places available for your occupation.

Victoria receives a high number of very strong applications for state nomination and only the very highest calibre candidates with the strongest skills, experience and opportunity for finding work in Victoria’s labour market are selected for Victorian state nomination.

The Victorian Government uses independent industry panels to provide advice on the suitability of applicants to Victoria’s labour market. These industry representatives also provide advice on the demand for individual applicants’ qualifications, skills and experience, and prospects for employment in Victoria.

While your application demonstrated your ability to meet the minimum eligibility requirements for Victorian state nomination, other applicants were able to more adequately demonstrate their suitability for employment in Victoria."
Some ppl believe they favor younger people.
Some people say they look out for people with lots of IT certifications. No one is so certain what exactly the criteria is.
Good thing is, they don't charge for application for SS like NSW does.
So money no waste.
