usqoh: I didn't show any proof of funds because it's not required for 189 subclass which I applied for, u might need it if you are applying for 190 subclass (some states require it before nomination), I sincerely know nothing about 180 visa, read the website of the state u r applying to for further information 1 Like |

*modified Good evening gurus in the house. My wife has submitted EOI for visa subclass 190 with 65 points hoping that the additional 5 points from state sponsorship will earn her a total of 70 points. In view of the highly competitive nature of her nominated occupation (Accountant: General), we have been thinking of how to increase her points and position her for an ITA. I noticed that her occupation appears on both SOL and CSOL lists; the closest occupation that match my current job role is "Financial Institution Branch Manager" which also appears on CSOL. My questions; -Has anyone on this forum gotten a positive assessment from VETASSESS on "Financial Institution Branch Manager" or a closely related occupation? What documents did you submit to get a "winning" application? -In view of the acclaimed tough nature of VETASSESS, is it worth it to stake AUD810 on their skill assessment and hope to get a positive assessment from them? What has been flashing through my mind for the past few days is the possibility of her getting additional 5 points from "partner points" since both "Accountant: General" and "Financial Institution Branch Manager". -If I am going ahead with VETASSESS, would it be necessary to go through their Skill Assessment Support (SAS) which includes Document Checking and Consultation Services and spend additional AUD330 on that? Any special benefits? -Beyond the advertised timeline, how long does VETASSESS assessment takes in reality? Please drop your comments/observations/suggestions/recommendations. Perhaps, what he meant was that she has submitted her EOI, and not the visa application. Bnimz: 1 Like |

Engineers in the house, I am a Mechanical engineer with 5+ Years of experience as sr. project support engineer, I have recently submitted my Application to EA, I chose professional engineer, I received comments in statement summary feedback as follow : “ Based on your career episode, it became evident that you are normally operating within a relatively well-defined technical part of mechanical engineering environment, and undertake a wide range of functions and responsibilities. However, you are lacking to carry the professional engineering wide-ranging responsibilities taken on behalf of stakeholder and professional involvement into system integration; for synthesising overall approaches to complex situations and complex engineering problems. At the same time, being developed as an engineering associate, you have a great exposure to technical coordination as well as grounding in the area of mechanical technology and technical support. Based on this career episodes’ summary the best qualification outcome is the mechanical engineering associate “ Before I reply to this , I’m not really sure what he meant ! , my concerns are: 1- Does he mean that my assessment outcome will be engineer associate instead of professional engineer ? 2-Does he want me to reply on this ? what would be my best comments to the assessor on this ?! Does he want me to rewrite the CDR and summary statement? cc;NNBB2012, Scrollmeout, Johnsontade, bellong, erictack203 |

@Zanyzara, What it simply means is that your assessment outcome is an Engineering Associate. Your CDR didn't proof a professional Engineer according to them. It is still positive, what did they say on your experience? With the Engineering Associate, what I am not sure you get is if it will be an Engineering technologist or mechanical engineering draftsperson. I am not an engineer, so I may not be in the best position to give a definite response. However, I believe you can ask EA for clarity. In addition, you can appeal the decision if uou know you can rewrite a convincing CDR. |

Hi CPA and other accountant assessing bodies will accept your ACCA membership and equate it to bsc. That way u may not need the MBA assessed since it doesn't confer additional points. Please note that your relevant work experience (for points sake) can only start counting from the date u became an ACCA member (not affiliate) because your Bsc in Agric isn't relevant in this regard but you may still want to submit it. You can consider your best option and what other assessing bodies your MBA will be most beneficial cos Accountant is highly competitive. You may need to have 20 points in English to be better positioned. All the best. teefinix: |

I understand your concerns bro. Its quite competitive except you want to consider boosting the English scores or nominating another profession. Unfortunately I don't know much about other assessing bodies. I wish you all the best. It will end in praise. 40manlappy: |
