Oga Topgun,
Always good to see your posts. If that scenario plays out, then your brother is going to fry. However, panick selling might not be a good idea as the scenario I painted i.e. a price reversal being imminent might also obtain and one could make some good margin. That said, the risks are quite high and could cause a lot of panic for the faint-hearted. This is my opinion.
What are your views on this stock?

which one be "oga topgun" again grabdbull. stop that rough play o grin.

on a price reversal being imminent i have to say the signs arent good going by today's trading. as i said the selling pressure was quite strong. it may well reverse later in the week but for now there's nothing to indicate that.

ur entry point i assume was on the high side abi and u bought for CICO didnt u?
if u answer yes to both questions u may have to wait for a little longer befor u can exit. this si strictly from the TA side of the coin, and if u are going to sydney with this one then its all good.

my thoughts only

Thank God for Nairaland

today was a confirmation that i must move to Nigeria and partake in the cake the country is too much and is changing fast . i got much more than stock

market advice from the gurus . i hail Seun for this platform. do london diasporians know that we have people with experience and great ideas willing to

assist us. does anybody know Otunba Dele Balogun who stays in essex and contributes to the advancement of the diaspora or Alh Bamanga Tukur who

gives great ideas at the African Business round table and other London events.

Do people know about the great oppurtunities existing with the NEPZA initiative and other incentives for diasporians. Londoncool I was told you are a

well known in the diaspora and you were a regular contributor with moneywise so Oga Sir i am hailing you

Do you know that most weekends big guys within London and those who are in town rub minds at the Hilton Paddington or Metropole or Wazobia

restruant and people can freely attend. My eyes are now shinning bright  I am facing Abuja full force from henceforth. Today i laughed  tire when heard

that in portharcort they make money-abuja they share it and london or gidi they spend it. Nigeria i hail thee.

Mallam Napolean i am hail you. Today taught me there are many silent readers and big guns in nairaland. Seyi please call me make we yarn

@greentree,

I rotate my greetings back to you. Thanks for the encomiums ! Are you still in UK and when is the next meeting at Hilton Paddington ? Have you met Jide the producer of "In Diaspora" on BEN TV ? He is another "smart alec" in UK.
Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by grabdbull: 2:27pm On Mar 10, 2008
@ AKTopgun,
Both your assumptions are in order. I asked for insight some weeks ago on CICO stocks and was told to go into footwear by the amiable and everly respected WindyWendy. As She talk footwear, na im cold catch me. My Liver no strong like that, na im I com look, see as conoil dey dance follow other petroleum stocks wey get beautiful gait, na im I approach the conoil, grab am come make am my own. In retrospect, I For listen to Wendy ooooooooooooooo!! ( e be like say She get crystal ball wey no dey fail).
So much for 20-20 hindsight.
All said and done, I still dey tempted to wait am out till end of the week and if e too fall, maybe obtain more kilos, or dump am go buy Universal Insurance ( 16billion units notwithstanding, e no fit bad reach Conoil).

This ACEN ins. sef, them still dey exist? As I come see people still dey trade the thing na im I come dey baffled.

Gurus please,

How can one calculate the trailoing PE of a company that has not declared its financial position for over 2 years or more? EPS is not known.
Is it even possible to calculate the forward PE of such company?

Congratulations on your 1001th post.

All of you folks in Hiding , this is not a good strategy ooo- BabaIbeji, Wanaj0, temmie, etc etc.

all this your one liner no good at all!.

Even the mouth and tongue dey fight many times, but you cant cut your tongue out na.

It was Aktopgun that first noticed the trend, and it has now been confirmed - please reverse this bearish trend.

Its always difficult to write one's thoughts/opinions on a public forum like this without offending some people, please understand everyone on here is different and we are from diverse experiences and cultures and some of us are more vocal than other.

I believe, the folks here are generally considerate and respect other people's opinion especially when its making money for them! grin Do not let the 0.5% not in that category put you off.

Like BabaIbeji rightly said, the newbies here are doing very well and pulling their weight , but inspite of that we still appreciate the guru's insight.

@Wanaj0 and fatherof2 we miss you oo.

For heavens sake where is @ololufemi - the guy just dropped out of orbit.

@Napolean,

I pray you will not dissappear into the night irrespective of the comments made here, but will keep giving information and insights that add value to our thought process in this business of making money.

@all,

sebi I said last friday, my brokers ( LEAD) be ajebo. I beg @Naijadr introduce me to your sister broker na !!!

No luck with my bigtreat order - back to the drawing board today.

madam windy am i order? grin

Please, if i really want to do CICO with Lafarge, when do u guys think i can enter?
madam windy abeg help out o

I won't ask you to cico lafarge o, it's not too volatile, plus there's the news of an impending TS. Afroil is much better. Bigtreat would have been good for last week to get out this week but afroil has better cico opportunity. They're releasing results sometime this month, and from the news making the runs, it should be a good result. No be from my mouth you hear am o cheesy grin Plus caveat plenti well well.

@yodiyokun, abeg leave that baico alone o. Na serious minefield. I heard they didn't make the capitalization limit and so there's trouble there.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange today lifted the technical suspension placed on Transnational Corporation Plc.
It should be emphasised here that Transcorp retains 51% and the Federal Government 49% pending when a technical partner is found to take care of the technical management of NITEL/MTEL.
