I have been a silent reader of this thread for long and I have been following this thread for some time now and i must confess I’ve learnt a lot from the thread. I give kudos to Arlington who started this page and also to MyPeace, GenBuhari, Stages, Itiade, Venus, Ejadamen, luvly and other wonderful ttc members
Let me share my experience with u
I had a miscarriage in 2008 and after that God blessed me with a beautiful girl in 2009. Since July 2010 I’ve been ttc but to no avail. My Dr. prescribed clomid for me in December 2010 and I conceived in Jan 2011 only for me to start bleeding 7 wks after and I finally lost the pregnancy in March 2011 and since then I’ve been ttc again but to no avail. So late feb this year Total Health Trust (THT) reffered me to a gynae/fertility expert on my account and the Dr. tested me and gave me basal body temperature chart to know whether I’m ovulating or not and with the chart the Dr. discovered I ovulate every month. After that I did scan and it showed no fibroid, no ovarian CS etc I also did HSG test almost 2 months ago and the results showed that my tubes were not blocked and still not blocked BUT the doctor showed me the result there’s a small dark line and the Dr said the uterus was a bit gummed 2gether (and he said the Dr. must have over scraped the uterus during evacuation, i did evacuation 2 times) and that was why conception did not take place. So the solution now is to flush the uterus which will cost N300,000 approximately $2,000. the Dr. also said without flushing the uterus conception cant take place though that is Dr's report and I believed in God's report. The last 2 cycles i used preseed with the believe that conception can still take place after the HSG test because I know with God everything is possible and the word impossible itself says IM POSSIBLE. Has anybody experienced this or flush her uterus before? If yes, kindly shed more light. Thanking you in advance.

Ohk back to your question I'm not a doctor but i know a bit about this 'gumming' of uterus,called asherman's syndrome. Do you get your period every month? If you do maybe you have mild asherman's but from what i know,asherman's syndrome is normally caused by scars which completely/partially gum the uterus together and surgery is used to correct it. I dnt know about flushing the uterus though...maybe sum1 with a better knowledge would help you out there.

God is your strength! I have never heard of flushing uterus, but flushing tubes which I did. I will suggest first, thickening the lining of the uterus, this might even be all you need, the result even said a bit gummed, so its not as if its fully gummed. As we know, if the lining is not as thick as it supposed to, implanation will not be possible. So lets start from thickening your endometrial lining, clomid may not be your best friend this time around!

Finally seek a second opinion, i have not heard of such term before (i mean flushing uterus). Ebony13 is right with what she explained, but l heard pple with asherman's syndrome usually dont have a regular period.

Thank God for your baby girl and the good reports from the Doctors. as for the flushing of the uterus, can your doctor tell you the medical name of the procedure he is intending to do? with the medical name you can google and get more information about the procedure.

finally, don't agree to the procedure unless you have a good understanding or seek a second opinon.

D̶̲̥̅̊ cost of d̶̲̥̅̊ procedure, both insertion $ removal ws jst about 50k. A scan afterwards showed a normal uterus. ℓ̊ support d̶̲̥̅̊ motion of seekin a second opinion too. It's well with us all. Our doctors sha and their funny ways of converting medical terms into layman's language... which one be sandwich of the uterus. It made me laugh (sorry i don't mean to be insensitive) but i am happy it worked. do you know what the medical term of the procedure is? can you ask your doctor for the medical name? so may be Jummy can ask her doctor about the procedure you had. i am happy your result was normal afterwards.

I know what she means bout the dr complaining that she knows too much.

I have been asked if I studied medicine by drs. The last few tyms I went to a 'fertility specialist', I just kept quiet while they were fooling themselves.

Cos I wanted to have bloodwork done on CD3, they said no,that I shld wait till day 12I didn't answer, I went to the lab on day3 and day21 to do the tests!

They usually rely on what they learnt in school! Not knowing that as world dey spoil, na so illness dey bring new style! Sometimes na symptoms dem dey treat. Instead of them to seek second opinion where they are not sure, they will be forming even when they don't understand the symptoms.

To give dem credit though, some of us tell dem things we are not sure of and frustrate their attempts to treat us.

As soon as I get my bfp, I'll tell the dr to take it as a high risk pregnancy! Cos am not young enough for trial and error!

I got back home from hsg procedure,the cervical canal n uterine cavity are well outlined with regular argin.No uterine fibroid seen.Both fallopian tubes are well demonstrated with free peritoned spillage(or sometn).Am so grateful to God for confirming His word that we're made whole by His stripes.The procedure wasn't as painful as the one I did about 3yrs ago(I got to heaven n came back).Thanks @Ebony13 n @Kemidebbie n everyone for standing in d gap for me,my heart reaches out to u n I pray d Lord God will surprise u all soon IJN.Going to rest for now,got to read up for exas against monday.Luv y'all.

Zenoj cograt my dear, God is in control, thank God for confirming his word in our lifes, my update so AF decided to show her face after i went all the way last cycle! It is well with me in Jesus name, so i went to see my Gyne today, he place me on clomind, i will start tomorrow 100 mg, he asked to come on CD13 for trans-v--! Scan and Hcg injections. My sisters has anyone had this injection befor, what are the things i should do to prepare for it? Should BD befor then etc?

Have been married for 8months now and still patient on God. Has any1 heard of "pineapple core" for implantation?
Pineapple has been advocated as a simple effective aid to embryo implantation; yes pineapple! This is especially good news as it is widely available. When one considers the emotional and financial cost of fertility treatment, especially IVF, anything at all - well, almost anything that has the potential to make a treatment cycle succeed is always welcome.
Quite a number of women on fertility boards online seem to swear by it and there is certainly no harm in trying. There are indications that the bromelain in pineapple, which is a nutrient that it contains in higher concentration than pretty much every other food, is an anti-inflammatory and seems also to increase cervical mucus. The increase in cervical mucus can make the uterus more "sticky," which can lead to increased rates of implantation. The most bromelain in the pineapple is found near the core, so many acupuncturists and natural therapists recommend eating a pineapple slice core.
There is no harm in trying sha but eat only the core, you can divide the whole core into 4 or 5 places and eat each piece per day. Who knows it may work for some1 here. You can also google it for more information

@ Taking Vit B6 after ovulation does it have any benefit, I take B6, folic acid, B-complex, Vit E & A and Zinc is it so much?. I have faith even greater than that of a "mustard seed" that God will soon bless us with our babies in Jesus Christ name.

HOW TO USE
For IVF [in vitro fertilization] cycle: one pineapple, divided into 5 portions - consume one portion each day, over five days, beginning on the day of your embryo transfer.

IUI [intra-uterine insemination] cycle: one pineapple, divided into 5 portions - consume one portion each day, over five days, beginning on the day of your IUI.

Timed intercourse cycle: one pineapple, divided into 5 portions - consume one portion each day, over five days, beginning on the day after ovulation.

Note: Be careful not to start consuming pineapple too early in the cycle. Beginning to consume pineapple BEFORE the recommended days above can actually affect your vaginal and cervical mucus PH, making it more acidic.

@ Ebony 13: I get my period every month and I just called my doctor now and he confirmed its asherman. He told me after the test I’ll take antibiotics for 3 days and he would place something in my womb for 3 months and I’ll be coming for injection once in a week for 3 months.

@Swit2have: As per seeking the 2nd opinion as suggested by you and Udoaka2 I will but I don’t want to repeat the HSG test so I asked my Dr if he could give me the xray result and he asked me to come for it. So I’ll collect it from him and seek a second opinion.
@ blank my hubby is yet to do a test he believes baby comes when God wants. He’s not ready t do any test. As at yesterday he told me not to bother myself that we did not do any test before God blessed us with a baby girl.

@ jummy4real.ohk i tot as much and with mild asherman you can still get your period. are you in nigeria? i have a friend who underwent d surgery for asherman and got pregnant immediately after she got healed. she stays in lag and says her doc is rily nice,if you are in lag send me your email so i can ask her for the doc's num. you can probably get a second opinion from him.

Hi Fruitful Ladies, Am new to this forum. Am so eager to be part of y'all. Been ttc for 3years n 8months. My last hormone profile read-FSH:5.3(1-9), LH:7.3(1-12),Prolactin:9.1(up to 15),Estradiol:10(30-100),Progesterone:7.0(2.0-25). Can anyone help to interpret my results. Was on Clomid sometime in 2009 by my obgyn, ended up thinning my uterine lining, no bfp!!! Maybe it just wasn't for me. Can fertility blend(which contains vitex) help me conceive? For now am just on pregnacare conception.DH has been on antibiotics for recurrent staph infection; can that deter pregnancy? Please help me as U all are my only source of INSPIRATION!!!
