my tier 4 visa is refused because my sister is sponsoring me and they stated it is not acceptable document as per the guidence. Can u plz is sister money is not acceptable.
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered by teesbobo: 9:17pm On Dec 30, 2010
Aryan Rock sorry about the refusal.
However I would like to reiterate that the Tier 4 Migrant Guidance gives guidelines on acceptable bank accounts and it states that only your parents, international company and your country's government can be your sponsor.
However other ways you can show your funds are.

1. Your personal bank account statement with the funds held for a minimum of 28 days.
2. A joint account with your name as one of the account holders (that is not just being a signatory to the joint account) and the funds held for a minimum of 28 days.

Hope this helps

I at last got my CAS statement after waiting for so long, but there's a problem, under the "Documents used to assess academic ability:"
the first and second been my WAEC and the third, my TOEFL test dated (24/09/2010) on the CAS statement, but on my TOEFL test copy, the test date is (11/09/2010). I think this is an error from the college, I have been worrying a lot about this because time is no more favourable, I intend submitting today but printing my bank statement at the bank today took a lotta time and by the time I'll get to Lagos, I won't make up with the working hours of the Entry clearance office, so by God's grace, come wednesday, I will submit. I will love to know if the error in the date will be a clog in my wheel of getting visa.
Thanks and happy new year in advance.

Am planning to take ACCA and CFA qualifications for career advancement. I have chosen Kaplan FTC London and fully paid the fees,

--I studied for my undergrads in the UK
--I got married to a british whilst in the UK but the marriage didnt work, and the home office was informed; at that time i had application with the HO to get the 2yrs spouse visa and at the knowledge of my marriage mishap the application was rejected.
-- I left the UK 3 weeks after i got my passport back, i needed time to clear my head anyway.
-- I havent returned back to the UK since 2008, ve been here and working with a very decent salary
-- I have my immediate family members in the UK (parents n siblings), all citizens.
-- I have the required £7200, of which £4000 out of it has been in my account for a while and the remaining got to my account on 23rd dec.
-- I wish to apply for visa in the on the 24th jan (to observe the 28days ritual)

Concerns
Can anyone pls help me, will any of the stated above info av any negative effects on the application?
Is there anything i need to look out for before applying?

Anyone with this kind of experience pls help, especially with the failed marriage issue, dont want it to sound like a sham marriage especially with the rise in sham marriages in the UK of recent. We were truly wedded but fell apart at the slightest sight of trouble.

BTW there was nothing like "ban" or any of tjose negative statements in the letter they used to refuse FLR

pls want to find out.can my immediate elder brother(same surname) sposor me as per writing the sponsor letter with his payslips etc.my maintenance fee and school fees were paid into my acc by him.he is actually my sponsor
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered by teesbobo: 6:07pm On Jan 02, 2011
Westbuoi if your brother has paid the school fees and maintenance fees into your personal bank account then all need to do is print that personal bank statement after 28 days that the funds have being in the account to add to your visa application.
You do not need any sponsor's letter or payslips from him anymore.
You are required to obtain a sponsor's letter in addition to a birth certificate only when your parents are sponsoring you and you intend to use their personal bank statements as proof of funds.

Guys, am very happy with the way we share our mind and thought on this forum, It really helps someone psychologically.
I applied for my visa in early december 2010, I got refused, ask me why? (For nothing)
I was awarded all my points on the refusal notice, (i.e CAS - 30 and maintenance - 10), what really got me freaked out was the ECO comments stating that: I did not submit an a Level results from epsom college, ?? I have never been to epsom college, what was stated on my CAS was what I submitted alongside my application,
If then I was refused because of that, why was I awarded my 30 points?

I have actually applied for administrative review. But when are they going to reply my people?

My school begins orientation 21st of Jan and induction is 27 of Jan,
Am planning of submitting a new application with the administrative review going on, Since is N55,000 that they want again, I will give it to them.
I need to get my life back. I can't think straight (I want to go to school and learn, so I can come back and better my economy)

I understans how u feel, it could be a painful experience, unfortunately review takes time, if u want to submit fresh application then u need to get another CAS from ur school.

@justwise,
thanks for your words. Have read some of your contributions in the past. Its good to have people like you on this site bro.
The school is preparing another cas for me. But hope the admin review won't clash with the new application am about to make?
I don't even know how to explain my refusal in the new application, cos i was refused for nothing. And i heard making new application is like accepting the eco decision.

The problem with ur case is time, u don't have the time to chase the review so making a fresh application is the only alternative, u can write to withdraw the review while u submit fresh application AND call the attention of the ECO to his awful mistake, use the space provided for extra commitment to explain why u making new application, which is the fact that ur course is starting soon and u can't wait for the review.

You can go for the admin review and also make a fresh application. that wouldnt clash and it costs nothing to go for admin review.

@ luv4all2nv, my friend also applied the same period and ws refused fr having insufficient funds when all her accounts was in tact. the 'ECO' refused her application because her school ws supposedly located within inner London when it ws actuali outer London. her school resumes Jan 31st so she ws advised to reapply, also strongly stating the error as justwise suggested in the addtional info column of tha application form. She just got clearance entry on friday. so since time is nt on ur side, its best you reapply as soon as you can. u can state the reason as ECO error in ur next application. Goodluck!!!

@ justwise, thank you for ur help. my friend got her entry clearance on friday. Happy New Yr 2 u!!!

It depends on the reason for the refusal. You will be given the right to appeal, it comes down to the reason ECO refused u a visa

As long as u have't committed any immigration offence on your travels then u got nothing to worry about.

They can only judge u now based on student visa requirements first b4 your immigraation history. If u met all the requirements then relax

@JUSTWISE, i was refused for no reason, i was refused because i was asked to submit an education certificate from university of lagos, which i did not attend. and that the money in my account is just for 26days, which is a big lie. i have applied for admin review and i havnt heard anything from them since December 13th 2010. i stated it clearly for them that, i did not attend university of lagos and that the evidence used to obtain my Offer is shown on the CAS.
what do u think i should do as i have not heard anything from them.

Was ur bank statement showing the last transaction b4 u print it out for visa application? Did you choose oral or paper hearing? Review takes time, u have a good chance of wining the case but it takes more than 2months.
