Unbelievable!!! Niger Delta Militants Surrender WeaponsMilitants terrorising the Niger Delta region have surrendered their weapons in Rivers state.



THE Nigerian Army in conjunction with Rivers State Amnesty Committee has commenced the destruction of arms and ammunition surrendered by repentant militants and cutists in the state.
Spokesman of 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Colonel Aminu Ilyasu, disclosed this in a statement, yesterday, in Port Harcourt, saying that the destruction was taking place at Igwurita shooting range between 6a.m. and 5p.m. He said that the exercise which started, yesterday, will end on Friday, adding that residents around the area where the destruction is ongoing should not panic at the sound of explosions.
