Everybody is advising the OP like he mentioned masturbation. grin

Well it likely is masturbation.

Flee from the internet bro. The first step to overcoming masturbation is to stop pornography and to stop that, you need to get off the internet for a looong time. I think that should help. And engage your mind actively.
Or at best marry and explain to ur wife say anytime wey the thing catch you she must dey available to calm you grin

I think you are enslaved to sin. The only way out is to resist the devil by avoiding things that might lure you into sin

How does one tackle a sin that reoccur every time? Even after prayer and consecration, when you still find your self in sins that you are aware of, what's the way out??

Because whatever you are doing is judged by what your imaginary father in heaven will either punish or reward.

Once you see the physical hurt your fellow man is going through because of your actions, you'll have a genuine lasting reason to stop.

The difference between moral and immoral is what the whole world will be if everyone did something.

Situation tells u that you re a God of your ownself.

Nothing except the environment can impact u!

No spiritual realm surpasses you.

Mitigate against by going for counselling, visiting a rehab or self discipline!

It's all in yourself! Control it!

In a nutshell what he calls a sin is not a sin.

Is it?

Because It is believing in the spiritual realm that makes some actions sins.

If you are the god of yourself you could decide to call what the spiritual realm calls a sin not a sin and that makes it not a SIN.

Is that what you are saying?

U are wrong

This is where Hindus, atheists are better than Christians. Because our Bible says when you sin and ask for forgiveness you will be forgiven. A Christian will know something is a sin and go ahead to do it because he believes he will be forgiven after praying. Buddhist, Hindu, atheists believe in the law of karma. When you do good, good will follow you so they try as much as possible to do good and not bad.
Maybe a hindu or atheist is better than you. Contextually that is.
Go and read Romans 6:1-13

I hate to be controlled by things. So when something appears as though it's beginning to control me...I don't pray about it or nothing, I just develop disdain for it.

That's what works for me.

If he's used to masturbating before marriage, marriage won't be enough to stop the act o.

I know married men who still masturbate! undecided

Best thing is to stop before settling down.

And marrying because you wanna stop the act is a poor reason for getting married. My opinion.

It clearly means your spiritual life is shaky and your foundation is not strong.

You need spiritual renewal and the help of the Holy Spirit to totally burn every sinful act in you. You need to get rid of them by calling on Him for help because God will not spare if your enemy dies in it. Remember the Bible says "work out your own salvation"

what need to be done:
1. Fear God: the fear of the lord is to depart from evil. God knows those who are his own and let every one that call the name of the Lord depart from iniquity. Let the fear of God rule your heart. Think of life after now and where you are going when you die. That will guide your decision.

2. Seek help: The best way to stay out of every sinful habit is to walk with those who have strength in those areas.

3. Commune with your heart: Have a determination not to be a dog. The bible says its only dogs that goes back to their vomit i.e to those things you claim you have left.

4. Pray always: Dont just pray because you want to pray, pray to get result. Pray a heartfelt prayer, thats the only prayer that gets God's attention.

Finally, believe in the finished work of Christ and ask Him to help you to break such habit with a sincere heart.

God bless you

Shame the world, shame evil
Entangle not thyself, shame the devil
Never loose the graces that innocence brings
Fold thyself in Christ, and watch the world surprise
Only guilt, no peace, after sin.
Re: 'I Know It's A Sin, Yet I Fall Into It Everytime' by Kei144(m): 10:53am On Apr 23, 2017
The way to overcome sin is to live by the Spirit. But the practicals are not well understood.

Nu. 20:2 Now there was no water for the community, and the people gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron.
Nu. 20:6 Moses and Aaron went from the assembly to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and fell face down, and the glory of the
LORD appeared to them.
Nu. 20:7 The LORD said to Moses,
Nu. 20:8 “Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it
will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so that they and their livestock can drink.”

The holy Spirit in you is the Rock. Speak to the Rock.

Holy Spirit, put to death in me the sin of . . . Make me dead to this sin and alive to righteousness. Great Spirit, transform me by renewing my mind, so that the thought process that leads to this sin will not go through in my mind again. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

Ro. 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act of worship.
Ro. 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Ro. 8:13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live

Op just do good to people and be morally upright according to the society norms and value. Show love to people and enjoy the life you find yourself today. If hell is real, and the bible doctrine and laws is the only way to heaven then we are all going to hell...Have you not heard or read that no sin is big in the site of your God? He puts one who lusts after a woman and a serial killer in the same hell?...

The way out is to keep trying even if you continue to fail, after all you are human and you are prone to mistakes every time, just have it at the back of your mind that God understands and he sees your efforts. Don't break your head for something you have no control over(mistakes) smiley

Make a strong resolve to never go back to that sin and avoid the things that lead to that sin no matter how hard it is, the best way is to replace the sin with something worthwhile and productive or just something that you find interesting and can occupy you.

Being in the company of people that wont tolerate that action will also help you build up your character and show that it is not impossible... You can also search 4 YouTube videos of people that have overcome what youre going through.

It will always be hard especially if that sin was something that you liked doing, but you will find that it would only make you stronger mentally to overcome your urges especially when it is a sin.
bros, Na God o! All this your epistle, its not by power or human might. Just God! There is only power in the blood. Ask OP to ask Him for help with sincerity and contriteness of heart. He'll have testimonies!

By the way, OP is talking about SIN. Not an addiction or obsession, to which you may offer such secular solution.

Avoid being alone. Whatever would make you think of committing such sin avoid it. As an example: pornography. Avoid viewing pictures and videos of unclothedness no matter how mild. Challenge yourself to do without it for a month, 2, 3 etc . Before you know it, you'd be completed free of whatever leads you to sin.Goodluck

Robbery- Depends on Who and why

Stealing- Same with robbery

Adultry- Only if u believe it's a sin, it was not programme in any mans brain as a sin. I don't see its done in agreement

Murder- revenge like thirst. It demanded and neccessary at some point.

Back Bitting- it's a tool if used wisely

Black mailing- Also a tool if used wisely

NB- Our world is about survival of the fittest, any tactic is allowed if deemed, demanded or necessary. Its a cold and physical warfare.

We were programmed to believe from birth that they were sins instead of tools

No. I am afraid, I strongly disagree with you on this. Most times we are responsible for what or who we become. That's why God gave us the power of reasoning, He gave us conscience and will power. Pls stop saying this as evil people will continue doing evil and then using ur point as excuse. If yoy help yourself, God will help you
I agree with you in disagreement with the bro.. Every body has a God given ability innate to control sin. That's where the personal resolution comes in to decide you don't want to sin and you take measures to help the course.

One method amongst many is avoiding occasions of sin ie those situations or circumstances that could put your resolve to test. Really, we can only be so strong..
