Sin is the control of an evil spirit over your flesh. Therefore fighting it with the flesh by trying to physically overcome it is an effort in futility. We know that the spirit controls the flesh. we must then substitute that sin causing evil spirit in us with the spirit of God which bears witness to our spirit. This can be done by having a covenant time with God. By constantly going to God, the holy spirit displaces the evil spirit and you become truly free indeed. Choose a particular time everyday and spend at least an our in quiet meditation. Study the word of God in Holy spirit inspired books, including the bible and allow the the comforter, the teacher the Holy spirit to lead us to God. Join the new move of God now. The Holy Ghost School, and have that relationship with God. 1 Like |

OP, just quit trying and handover the baton to Jesus Christ and soon enough you'll notice a difference. Let him know that you're tired of trying and that you need him to take over. Remember not to go back to it otherwise it'll be even harder to get out of it. Wish you the best! 1 Like |

That may mean that you have not come into (true) faith in (God through His Son) Christ Jesus the Son of God and the saviour of the world. So you are still a sinner, a slave of sin, self, Satan and the world (of sin). Although you may be a christain, go to church, fast, pray and the rest but you may not be a true christain yet, all because of unbelief or false christain's faith. So have faith in Christ Jesus the Son of God and God will save you/your soul, forgive your sins and remove them and give you eternal life or His Spirit. If you come into true faith in God through Christ His Son, God will give you power to overcome the world and all that are in it; sins, flesh, self, temptation, .. You yourself will begin to hate sins from inside you, whether sins from yourself or from people and you will start to love righteousness and pursue it and love those who love and do righteousness. The word of God says, "But as many as received (or believe) Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." John 1:12. He gave them power to live as true children of God, He gave them His righteousness. He enabled true brethren to stand against sins as Joseph when tempted by the adulterous woman. Those who come into true faith in Christ Jesus, God dwells in them and they overcome the world and all in the world, they are no more slaves of sin, flesh, self and Satan. He who sins is of the devil. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And temptation to sin used to come to true believers but they resist the devil and he flees. They themselves put away sins from them. But pretending and false christains are gullible, loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. So the first thing is true faith in Christ Jesus and then the other things of prayer for forgiveness and other things and baptism... |

OP if you are talking about masturbation, just go and marry, by the time you have a wife by your side every day and every night. . . you go see sex you go run If that doesnt work . . . then I recommend the "preselect principle of problem solving" . . . . which states that if any problem seems insurmountable, there is only one sure way to go. . . . . .Blame Buhari for it #BuhariSucks 1 Like

Hardeysolution:Romans 7:15-25 For I don't understand what I am doing. For I do not do what I want - instead, I do what I hate. 16 But if I do what I don't want, I agree that the law is good. 17 But now it is no longer me doing it, but sin that lives in me. 18 For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For I want to do the good, but I cannot do it. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but I do the very evil I do not want! 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer me doing it but sin that lives in me. 21 So, I find the law that when I want to do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God in my inner being. 23 But I see a different law in my members waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that is in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin. The more you submit yourself to God, the more you have dominion over sin. The more you live in spirit, the more your flesh is subdued. The closer you move to Jesus, the farther you are away from sins. Keep renewing your mind by studying and meditating on God's words and your life will take complete transformation |

OP, the best way to overcome that sin is to stop being conscious of it, I didn't say to stop "doing" it, I said stop being "conscious", because when you stop being conscious of it, that's when you'd receive strength to stop it, ......"Sin" thrives in the consciousness of it, moreover know this where "sin" abound "grace" did much more abound.....No Sin can ever separate you from God's love......its your mind that condemns you not the Holy Spirit, stop being conscious of the "sin" that's when you'd stop, even you have to fall into that "sin" again after making up your mind not to do it anymore, God has no problem with you, God's grace is sufficient to help you stop it at the end, just stop being "conscious" of it. |

Hardeysolution: self-consciousness and asking the Holy Spirit for help and direction.. . It's what comes out of a man that makes him and not what goes into him....before you commit that sin, you've definitely played it over and over again and now though you're used to it you still play it before you perform it in reality.... So now you have to tell yourself...since I do this and I feel this way.. .lemme try not to do it and see how it feels, occupy your mind and self with other things... Philippines 4:13 is very encouraging if you're determined to change, the psalms and proverbs are very good too. The true reason why I think we still go back to those sins is because we don't regard, respect and value God as we should. Once heard that David never repeated the same sin.. It's not easy but with the right focus, determination, desire, God will see you through! |

Hardeysolution: Of course, you must need to go forward from where you find yourself currently. If you see yourself deep in sin and realises it yourself, then you can be redeemed. Our proverbs says that when a mad man realises and gets disgusted by his dresses, smelly enviroment and his deeds; such mad man is already getting better. Therefore I must commend any person who speaks out because such a person is tired of living in sin. Quickly: The most potent solution to recuurent sinfulness is to CONFESS PUBLICLY AND HOLISTICALLY. WHEN YOU CONFESS YOUR SIN PUBLICLY, YOU FEEL SHAME AND HUMILIATED BUT, THAT IS THE HIGHEST THING YOU CAN DO AS A SINNER AND, IT HELP YOU BREAK LOOSE FROM THE SHAKLES OF THE POWER OF SIN THAT THRIVES IN SECRECY. NEXT IS FOR SPIRIT-FILLED BROTHERS TO PRAY FOR YOU IN ORDER FOR GODLY SPIRIT TO TKE OVER. JAMES CHAPTER 5:15-16 IS INSTRUCTIVE ON THIS MATTER. |

Are you God's child in Jesus Christ? Then sin has no power over you! Rom 6:2, 6, 14. You are no longer in bondage to sin. In other words you CAN overcome that sinful habit. Those verses are not saying you CANNOT sin again. They are saying the power to overcome every sin in in you. There are some things a child cannot handle yet. But when that child is more matured then he is more enabled to handle them. My advice is that as you strive to overcome this sin, go to environments (church, or around some people) where you can grow in the spirit. Unfortunately, not all 'churches' fall into this category. As you begin to grow, some sins and evil desires will fall off you! Doing them becomes so stupid! But as you overcome some lusts, be assured that some other temptations await you ahead! So no stopping until we are out of this flesh. Never give up! |

Hardeysolution: That is your flesh fighting with your spirit thus it requires both spiritual and physical strategies to win the war. First ask for the power to overcome self i.e mr flesh Then crucify your flesh by constant discipline Avoid any thing that can easily entangle you with such sin. Pray always... God through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ will surely help you. |

Hardeysolution:First things first are you born again? If not then I tell you, you can't stop it even if you want to, why? Read Romans 7:15-20 When man sinned in the garden the death the Scripture talked about was spiritual death a seperation from God, man became a partaker of the nature of satan, that's why Jesus said in John 8:44 "you are of your father the devil" And that is what Jesus came to fix the bible says in Jesus God was reconciling the world unto Himself not imputing mans sins against him, so the bible says "whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life [which is the life of God] To have this eternal life the principle is you have to believe with in your heart and confess with your mouth Romans 10:10 reads "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. That is what it means to be born again, if you believe in your heart say this prayer out loud: “O Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He’s alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I’m born again. Thank you Lord, for saving my soul! I’m now a child of God. Halleluiah!” If you just said that prayer congratulations you are born again you are a Christian to learn more and how you can grow as a Christian call me or whats app on this number 08035570164.
